Chapter 37: A Hope Of Past

Haruto spoke up.
“Wait a minute…. How??”how are you planning on returning there?”
“Haruto.. do you know what is needed to return to the past?”
“Yea.. you had to have drank the medicine at the time you want to return to.. right?”
“That’s right. You should drink the medicine and breathe in the incense. My father made me drink the medicine which was still under development.. at the age 11.”
“But didn’t you say that drinking new medicine will overwrite it? Didn’t you drink the medicine 7 years ago as well?”
“Yes.. but you can keep 2-3 neural tract and the rest will be overwritten. That’s why I couldn’t experiment on myself.. because that will be overwritten too.. so now I have two neural tracts. One was seven years ago. And the other when I was 11.”
“I see..”
“But there are few obstacles. First .. time leaping for that long hasn’t been experimented yet or doing it multiple times either. This was on the research notes though. But when the medic was made 7 years ago I believed that we could do multiple and longer leaps. But I had no evidence..that’s why I chose you Haruto…”

The akitsu carnation seeds have been finished. And that’s the real reason why my dad .. who saved the seeds.. wiped my Memories of 3 years ago.. to say it. I don’t have enough fuel to return to back then.. the 11 year bloom cycle of Akitsu carnation are nowhere to be found now..”
“So back then .. when I was searching for seeds of Akitsu carnation near the well.. the people who removed them were..”
“Yes that’s my dad. It’s hard to recognise the difference between 7 years and the 11 years one.. but ..”
“But there might be some of it still intact because plants are much stronger than they look like..”
“Yess! Exactly! And that’s why I looked there all over. Remember you and Aoi gave me a pic of a place..and I looked all over… and now I couldn’t believe it..”
Ichiri looked towards the flower in the corner of the room.
“So you mean these are the ones?”
“Yes..”
“But what will you do when you go back. ? How are you going to save us? Did you find the cure of LMD or something?”
“No..”
“Wait a moment.. even if you did find the cure of LMD.. wouldn’t that mean that the director would die because of no heart transplant. As it was kanna who gave her..”
“Yes that’s right.. but.. if things went in that way.. “
Both director and Haruto were confused. Haruto spoke up ..
“You don’t mean!!!”
“Yes.. that’s right. Instead of kanna giving the heart to kikusui. I will give him…”
Kikusui was surprised.
“Huh??! Ichiri! What are you saying?”
“And I’ll give my lungs to kanna. She’llbe healed as well..”
“are you crazy?”

Ichiri took out a bottle of spray.
“If I use this you would surely die. It’s a type of poison and I’m not bluffing because I’m gonna go back so even if I kill you it doesn’t matter. You would be back.”

Haruto spoke up.
“Dr Ichiri. It’s not gonna work..”
“What do you mean?”
“Im sorry to say this but it won’t work..”
“ You said you found these because of the picture of Akitsu carnation that me and Aoi gave you right?”
“Yea..?”
“When Aoi gave you that picture. She said it’s 4 years old right?”
“Yes that’s right. And that was seven years ago. So 7 plus 4 ..hence they were blooming since 11 years. I’m pretty sure.. that this is 11 year bloom cycle carnation..”
“Dr Ichiri.. I’m sorry to say this but.. what Aoi told you about it being 4 years old back then…. It was a lie..”
