Chapter 11:- My Duty

“… umm..”
“I saw how you were acting on Monday.. so I had an instinct… and you jumped back to that time right?”
“H-how do you know??? So.. wait a minute. It really was that Medicine which you have me right?”
“ I see … hahaha.. great;! I mean.. wonderful!!”
He bust into laughter. Haruto stood there, still confused.
“ wait. So ..you are the one who made me time leap??”
“Well. Yea.. anyways, is there anything that you want to ask?”
“yeaa! I mean there are so many questions. But why did you do that and more importantly. How?? And like.. time leaping? Is that even possible??”.
“Of course. You are walking with the proof right?”
He was still shocked.
“And as of why? .. well my father took this research and later I took it. And I always wanted to so some experiment. And then you showed up. That’s when I decided to do it.”
“B-but, you could have done it on yourself. Why did you do it on me?”
“That would have been the best option ,yes. But unfortunately. It works on some special kids. And you are one of them. And I apologise for doing this without asking your permission. But it turned out so..”
“wait. What do you mean by special? And what exactly is this time thing? Like …do you just go back and forth anywhere?”
“You experienced it. And I know it’s hard to believe the fact that you can jump back in time. And if this thing goes out in public , it would be worse. So make sure you don’t speak about it to anybody.”
“But what do you mean by special? And what exactly are you and your father trying to achieve throu---”
“Ah ah.. stop right there Haruto. That’s what my second condition of helping you comes. That is. To not ask about the experiment's purpose and not to say this to anybody and that you continue to be my test subject.”
“What???”
“What do you think? .. these are my conditions..”
“What do you mean by test subject?!”
“Well for starters.. let’s send you back to Monday and then you tell me about this again.”
“Wait.. I’m already your test subject now?”
“Yes. And that’s why I told you a bit about the experiment”
“What??? You got me into the mess in the first place and you give me only this much information?”
“That’s because we are not sure anything about the information in the first time round. And there was no reason for me to hide you about it without your permission.”
“So that means there are other people who can make me perform this?”
“No no. For now ..it’s only me who can make you time leap.”
“But if that’s so ..th—”
“calm down Haruto. You won’t be in any disadvantage. And if this works, you get back to Monday. If not ,then we just continue. And going back in time would be wonders for you. Specially in these situations right?”
“I still don’t know. I guess I got the short end of the stick..but I guess I have no choice. And what amazing plans are you going to suggest after this?”
“Well I’m not sure about amazing. But ..what if I were to tell you about the person who took Riku…”
“Whaaat?!.. how do you know??”
“I told you that I used to work at that hospital right?”
“..yea..”
“Well things happened..”
“Things?”
“Just like you are trying to bring the injustice down . I did too”
“And?”
“ and nothing.. it didn’t work out well. I failed.”
“that was when I got to know about this person who took Riku..”
“well then Dr Ichiri.. let’s work together..!!”
“.. I can’t. The only thing I can do is support you. And moreover I have few things to take care of .. for the time being”
“Is it… about the time leaping??”
“Haruto. I told you..not to ask questions about it.”
“..right..”
“So? What will you do? Are you ready to co-operate with me and make me tell the name of that person or??”
“wait. If i get to know about that person . What should I do?”
“That will be upto you. But that will atleast put you in better situation than you are now”
“Yea.. alright!. I’ll do it.. and one more thing. If the experiment fails.. please help me to find Riku..”
“alright. I promise. Just tell me what were you doing from Monday to Wednesday for the first time round.”
“oh I didn’t say completely.. so..”
Haruto described everything about what happened since that Monday.

“Alright so first time you guys went there and then you were ambushed by some guy. And second time , Riku was taken away. Okay then, let’s get you to the third Monday.”
“Huh.? Right now?”
“Yes . Right now”
“But you haven’t told me about that person’s name”
“Well. Just ask the other me from that Monday”.
“Why can’t you tell me now?”
“ consider it as an insurance that you are up for this deal.”
“ But..”
“do you want to quit?”
“No.. I made up my mind. I’ll do this”
“Co—”
Just then Dr Ichiri got a call. He came back to Haruto after a few minutes.
“looks like Kakeru just had a seizure and went into coma..they don’t know the exact cause..but his life is in danger”
“Whatttt???”
“Someone from the hospital will be coming here soon”
“Ohh!”.
“Yes we need to hurry. Follow me”
Haruto entered a huge room. It had a huge box like transparent capsule where a bed was there. It had certain lights and buttons outside.
“Alright get in there”
Haruto laid inside the box.
“So listen. Instead of going back to Monday. This works like sending your consciousness back to Monday.. when I press this button your consciousness will go off for 10 seconds and you will be there within fre minutes. But for you, it will be like suddenly jumping back after loosing consciousness.”
“Okay…”
“Alright . You ready?”
“Yeaa “
“Say hi to me from Monday will you”
Ichiri pressed the button.
“ I guess he will be back here soon”
Dr Ichiri went out from the room.He saw a young boy with black hair.
“Its been a while … Dr. Ichiri..”

“ohh Kakeru.. Yeaa..it sure has..”
