Epilogue 4: Aoi's World -II

*Note: As mentioned earlier, this is Aoi's timeline and continuation of epilogue 2..*

"right.. 7 years ago , although we both took the vaccine, haruto wasn't saved..and then my memories...but why?.. "

she thought for a while.. 

"Mabe Dr Ichiri knows something about it..."

she goes to her clinic to talk to him..

"Dr Ichiri.."

"hey, Aoi, you're here early.. did you read the diary already? or are you going to read it after this?"

"doctor.. it's... Its actually not my first time..to talk tou like this, at this moment.."

"huh? what do you mean? you told me about time leaping yesterday.. or did you lie when yo said it was the 5th loop?"

"noits not about that!"

"are you trying to trick me again?"

"NO!.. its not about starting over from Mondayy , march 29.. It's from way before that i'm starting over again and again from 7 years ago!"

ichiki was shocked.. he gave a surprising look..

"what?"

Aoi explains her everything about how she found out that things are repeating over and over from 7 years.

ichiki agrees and says..

"I see.. it sounds aburd but at the same time it makes sense.. Both you and Haruto. .. 7 years ago huh.. And i can't return to past.. So that was "4 years ago" was a lie about the camera that you came up with on the spot.. " he sighs..

"Dr Ichiki.. "

"yea i understood.. So you've been repeating time since 7 years ago.."

"Dr Ichiki.. That promise from yesterday.. The one where i promised to tell you where the flowers are as long as you help me.. I dont think i can keep my end of the deal.."

"its alright.. it doesnt matter anymore.. i can't go back anyway... and now that i do know , i should do everything to help you.. although i feel it'll be quite different to the plan of persuading the director to find the cure for LMD.."

"I'm sorry.. after saying such things yesterday.."

"don't worry about it.. but wow.. i'm really surprised that both of you and Haruto trusted each other and successfully went back 7 years ago.."

"yes .. we did.. but.." she makes a worried face.

"oh right.. you said that even after both of you going back, Haruto dies.."

"yes"..

"so to recap.. The one who wiped your memories was me.. And Haruto asked me to wipe your memories quite some time before that happened.. and on that day of the experiment.. by the time i arrived on the scene, you both were already unconscious... But if what you say is true,that means that the vaccine Haruto took didint take the effect"

"umm.. what gets me is that you didnt speak to him after the experiment.. the 1st round you said that you talked to Haruto, and he requested you to wipe my memories and transfer his lungs to me.. but according to what you just said.. Haruto asked this when he knew about his dad.. and he asked you to erase my memories 'if' something like that happened.. I thought you were joking at first.. i didnt think that you would wipe my memories for something like that.."

ichiri looked at the flowers..

"Right... The lung transplant aside,th reason for wiping my memories, huh.. "

ichiri was dissapointed at himself..

"What was i,... "

They were silent for a moment..

Ichiri suddenly spoke out

"Aoi, I  have a theory.. Well, if my memories is without fault and what you say is true, this is the only possibility.."

"what is it..?! please tell me"

"that experiment 7 years ago.. do you know why it was conducted?"

"you told me , its to check if time leaping can overcome death right?"

"yes, the objective of the experiment was to find that out.. Then the fact that this is happening now mean--"

"wait a minute!" Aoi interrupted and continued..

"both Haruto and I made it back.. Doesnt that  mean we both overcame that fate?!"

"to do such experiments in the first place.. they must have had some hypothesis.. Even when i thought the moment you both returned proved your success but..perhaps if you try to erase someone's death by leaping back, someone else will die.. It's possible that destiny states that one of you had to die in that experiment that day.. and maybe that was the real hypothesis.."

"thats... but then even if i return.." 

"that would be the case.."

suddenly there was a sound of the door. 

"hm? seems like somebody is coming.. I didn't have any appointments.. I'm a little worried so i'll go and have a look" said Ichiri and he went out of his cabin. there was a silence for few minutes.. and suddenly the cabin doors opened.

There was a man entering. he had  green hair . it was the receptionist Kadoma.. he gave a sinister look at Aoi..

"ohh, Aoi... 

What are you doing ?"
