Chapter 35: Warped Strings

"Ichiri. Why are you here? And what are you saying?"

"Long time no see...Kikusui..I'm happy to see you here like this?"

"yea.. it's been a while.. 4 years infact.."

"Roght .. a lot have happened since then.."

*Flashback*

Ichiri walks into the directors ..

"umm.. are you kikusui?"

"Yea and you must be ichiri?"

"Yes.."

There was a moment of pause. Kikusui then burst into laughter..

"hahaha.. he told me to be friends with you since we are gonna go in the same University...but this feels like an arranged marriage..hahaha..I guess we both have to deal with having strange parents.."

"yea..i guess soo.."

"Well I'm Ayato kikusui.. nice to meet you.."

"Yea.. I'm Ichiri..nice to meet you too.."

"what? Aren't you gonna tell me your full name?"

" ohh right.. my name is.."

Few days later...

Ichiri saw Ayato going into the lift in the hospital..

"Huh? Kikusui what are you doing here?"

"my father called me out here.."

"Oh.."

"I wonder what he's gonna say this time.."

"Hahaha.."

"Your dad doesn't seem strict.. so ..I'm jealous.."

"Hmm.. I guess so"

"and our clinical training starts soon. If I come up here..then I'm going to see my father everyday.."

"But last time didn't you say that you understood your father?"

"Yea.. a little bit.."

"I see.."

Few months later..

Ayato and Ichiri were in a room. Ayato spoke up.

"Listen ichiri.. two days from now , our fathers are gonna host a party..at the research building.."

"I see.. and?"

"I heard that they are going to report their finding or something.. I'm going to find a seat at the party.."

"You can't be thinking of.."

"That's right.. if I get a seat .. I'm going yo confront him everything..I'm going to get him confess and apologize to every LMD patients out there"

"Okay.. I understand.. out preparations are done.. so let's do it!"

"Yep I'll see ya tomorrow.."

At the day of party.

Ichiri was waiting at an empty room. His father came up .

"dad? Why did you call me up here? I thought u had a party to attend.."

"the party hasn't begun yet.. I snuck out.."

"Is that okay?"

"Don't worry about that.. I need you to listen to me carefully.."

"?"

"Today I'll do it!"

"Don't tell me you mean.."

"Yes that's right.. I'm going to use kikusui's "insurance" against him to blow up the building. Of everything goes well everyone in the research building will die. That means the time leaping technology will die forever.."

"Wait dad.. I told you yesterday that Ayato will attend the party.. didn't you say that you will get him away.."

"I already made the decision. I didn't tell you. It's not like I don't trust you. It's just that I don't want my plan to fail."

"You mean to kill Ayato as well?"

"Don't worry I don't plan to kill anybody except those who are involved.."

"I see.."

"But there is a problem.. you probably know them better.. there are two patients with name Aoi and Haruto.."

"yea? What about them?"

"They are currently being experimented on our final task. If we leave them.. they will die too.."

"What?"

"Yes that's right. All you need to do is go and save them now.. just get them out of there.."

"But why are they involved in the first place?!"

"That's my fault. I hesitated and gave him an option but.. nevermind.. I used them as bait to get the ingredients needed for time leaping."

"And that's why they are there?"

"That's not all.. kikusui rushed it to today. There was nothing I could do.."

"Alright.. I'll go save them.."

"Yep so let's prepare for this. First of all I need a starting point of for the time leaping experiment..I'm sure you know this but you will only come back .. if you feel that the time leaping technology has been leaked in the future.."

"I know.. even if someone was to die. I promise not to come back."

"Well..drink this medicine then.."

He drank it.

"Yes.. and the next one.."

He drank the other one too.

"these tastes are horrible.."

"Alright next time you wake up. You will remember how to time leap. But you would have forgotten the mechanism of it."

"Dad.. "

"There is no time for this.. go..leave now.. save them .."

"Yep."

"Make sure you take the ingredients and then go to the place I prepared and sleep.."

" Yes.. I know.. goodbye dad.."

Ichiri rushed towards the place where Aoi and Haruto were being experimented. He went in tjat old building. He saw only two rooms. He opened the last room he saw Aoi fainted down. She was still in conscious mind.

"Aoi!!!"

"Dr Ichiri.. please save Haruto first..he is in the other room.."

"okay!.."

Ichiri ran towards the first room..he opened it.

"Haruto!!.. .. okay he isn't unconscious.."

Just then aoi came to his room

"dr ichiri... is he okay?"

"Yes.. he is just asleep..but you don't look alright!"

"Hehe.. I kinda failed.."

"failed?? What happened."

"Well-"

Everything went black ichiri lost his consciousness...After a while.. he woke up. He ws completely in a different room. He didn't understand where he was.

"Huh?? Where am I? What's this place?....and wait a second.. more importantly...

Who am I?"
