Epilogue 5: No Matter How Many Times

*note: this is original timeline (Haruto's timeline and continuation of epilogue 3)*

Haruto was shocked as he heard the sentence., ("instead.. you die")..

"i see.. even after i take the vaccine, i still die huh.."

"yea" says Aoi..

there was a moment of silence.. Aoi then spoke..

"Haruto.."

"Oh right! regardless, you shouldd take the vaccine! mine is not working , doesnt mean you can't take.."

"that's .."

"okay..?"

she cries.. and looks at him and says..

"that's what you say to me every time.. And i know that i have to take it.. i just wanted to try saying that i wont take it.. since this is the only time i can talk to you... even though i have another 7 years.. I wanted to be a little mean and say things you know.. haha.. i just.."

"Aoi..."

"i'm sorry.. Haruto.. don't worry about me...!"

"anyway, Aoi, how many times have you.."

she still cries..

"that means you're the only one who is repeating this many times right?"

"yes that's right"

"but only i have memories of this one time.. so this means.. um.."

"yea , so that must mean i took the medicine just a bit before you did."

"huh?.." haruto looked confused. Aoi came closer to him and said

"that's why every time i come back your memories resets, right? and that's why my memories remain even after you come back.."

"what??"

"so what happened just then was kinda strange. I actually don't know how many times you've done this. I did have a lot of time to think about it, so.."

"Aoi.. it's probably hard for me to say this but..if its really hopeless..then you can.. i mean..I-I did come here prepared that ... things might not--"

"But that's a lie!" shouted Aoi and continued..

"You trusted me !..you trusted i was going to do the same for you!.."

"that's.."

"So it's okay! You can trust me too..."

"but.."

she wiped her tears.. and brought an angry look purposely..

"whaaaat? are you saying you can't trust me?"

"NOO, it's not like that.. but what if some of this was a law?.. like some sort of fate..that we can't overcome no matter what we do.."

"why? i think it's pretty cool to fight against your fate!.. you don't like that kind of thing..?

"i mean.. fighting against fate seems.."

"Oh right.. It's the age where saying things like this is embarrassing.. i mean you 're 19 years old inside so..! hehe.. fighting against your fate..! Yeaaa i will fight my fate!! Are you embarrassed?"

"wha-".. i-it's not ... embarrassing.." haruto blushed.

"Sooo do you think it's cool?"

"I-It's also not..cool.." he was embarrassed ofcourse. he continued..

"but that's not the point.. and Aoi, you're 19 years old too!"

"um.. i'm"

"Oh..." he realised that she has been repeating time so much that its hard to tell what's 19. she burst into laughter.

"pfft.. hahaha.,, well i don't mind.. i still look 10 year old!"

they laughed.

"by the way Haruto..How old do you think i really am?"

"huh.."

"hm?"

"i dont know.. i guess say you leaped 10 times.. so around 70 year old?"

"i see.. 70 huh.."

"am i close?"

"yea.. around that time i guess? while it's true that we "re-do" 7 years, since my memories are wiped, i forget all about the 7 years. so i dont really feel like much time has passed.. but i do try to record how many times it's been with the paper method i told you.."

"i see, so just like me, you remember everything only 7 years later?"

"yep. SO don't worry..! and each time i repeat time, i learn new things. Like that receptionist at the clinic, Mr Kadoma, he has helped me find new files about time leaping!"

"i see.. wait .. what??! Mr kadoma? really??"

"yea.."

" trust me..it's definitely fine!"

"..Aoi?"

"i will definitely save you..Haruto... No matter how many times i'll have to repeat..
