CHAPTER FORTY-FOUR: MARLEY

ADELAIDE'S

"Mummy? Are you going somewhere far?" Leviathan asks. We're currently heading out of the mansion where Reiner and him will bid me their goodbyes. After all, the travel from Paradis to Marley will take us probably more then two days.

I knelt down to reach his level before hugging him and kissed his cheeks.

"Quite far,sweetie but Mummy will be back in no time. Just behave while Im gonna alright? Dont give Grandpa and Papa Reiner headaches." My son salute playfully which made me hug him again before standing up and face Reiner who was smiling softly. I smiled at him back.

"Take care of our son while Im away." He nodded.

"I will. You be careful okay? Dont do anything reckless." I chuckled and nodded.

"Since when was I reckless?" I mocked him.

"Dont spoil him with too much sweets alright?" He scratched his head for being guilty.

"One chocolate bar after breakfast. Got it." He smiled like he cant promise anything. I just shooked my head and kissed him on his cheek and hugged him.

"Come back as soon as you save Eren." He said.

"I will."

Moments later, I saw Reiner carrying Leviathan while the two waves at the carriage I am in. We're now heading to the terminal where the train will take us to the port outside of the wall.

"Are the supplies complete Sasha?" Mikasa asked while they were busy placing goods and supplies on the ship. Sasha looks really problematic.

"I cant find my box of preserved potatoes! This is a mess!" She was already frantic earning a laughter from me.

"Come on Sasha we know even if you're still sulking over potatoes, you're already planning how to sneak in to the rations that we have." Jean teased her. Connie and Armin were laughing.

"Oh shut up Jean, I wont do that! Probably...But hey! Im not that much of a food thief!" another wave of laughter.

"Since when did you not steal extra food from the cafeteria back in the headquarters?" Mikasa dissed Sasha which made the latter out of words and cant help but agree out of defeaf.

"But I only take half more-"

"Everyone gather on board now! We're leaving at a minute!" Hange announced. I went in with Armin and Mikasa in the main deck to listen at Hange's strategy.

"Eren mentioned in his letter that there will be a gathering of mostly elites from around the world in Liberio, an eldian containment zone in Marley." She stated.

"once we enter liberio, Yelena will lure the jaw and the cart titan until they fall into the trap." Armin added. Yelena nodded in return.

"Mikasa will wait for Eren's signal to fire against the war hammer. He's sure that will show up" Hange continued.

"What if the plan will not work? We all know they already have those anti-titan weapons." Jean asked. Hange and Armin looked at me.

"That's where Adelaide goes in." I nodded.

This is the first time Im going in Marley. I wonder what it looks like in actual sight. Is it also like Paradis? Or more advanced?

"If things go wrong, Adelaide could fire up the marleyan soldiers that surrounds the area." Connie excused himself to speak.

"What if that new titan appear? It wiped out all troops single handedly. " He said in a worry. My heart palpitated so fast. Im feeling nervous about that titan.

"We have the founding titan and the reincarnation of the foundress with us. We just have to trust in their abilities." Floch's words made me calm.

I am Maria Adelaide Pixis. The princess of Paradis, reincarnation of Ymir the founder. I need to trust myself.

"I will do my best. Dont worry." I smiled to assure them. They felt relieved to hear my words.

"But still, if that titan appears, we need to move fast. Our mission is to save and return back alive. Not to defeat the enemy." I said amd everyone agreed.

"The princess is right. We just have to get Eren and flee back to the walls." Hange said.

The whole travel kept me thinking of how my son and Reiner is. During the night, I imagined them to be sleeping beside each other, with Leviathan at Reiner's head. He likes sleeping that way that made me laugh.

"It's good to see you laugh, your highness." I shifted my gaze to armin and smiled.

"I just wondered if Leviathan and Reiner are asleep now. " He smiled back.

"Your son grew so well. Reiner and you did a good job raising the prince." I smiled.

"He loves Reiner like his own father. But I still kept wondering what will our lives be when captain's still here." I smiled at his words. I suddenly remember him.

"He would probably stop me from going outside the walls. You know how protrctive he is."

"I agree. Addie. But you did a good job not keeping secrets from Leviathan about his father." i smiled.

"Leviathan is the son of humanity's strongest soldier ever lived. How could I not tell my son about him." Armin started laughing

"Also the most clean freak person I knew." I chuckled along with him.

"It's good to see you smiling while talking about the captain. Leviathan did save you" I smiled once again.

"It runs in his and his father's blood. Always saving me."

Leviathan saved me from being hopeless to live again.His father saved me from being weak.

"Alright soldiers! Be at your disguising wardrobes and act like a marleyan. Got it?" The scouts followed Hange's orders and headed out of the azumbito port to transfer in a train that would bring us to Liberio to set our plans.

"Jean and the princess will be teaming up. Connie and Sasha will be in charge with the port security. And I with the others will get us a flying ship. Mikasa and Armin, look for anything suspiscious." Hange ordered before we leave the the Azumbito Port.

"Understood!"

"Your highness, let's go." Jean called me before we went out of the port and mixed up with the crowd.

I have to admit these women's dresses here in this place is so tight.

Well guess I have to endure.

"We have to move fast but careful. We dont wanna mess up the mission tonight." Jean nodded. We continued listening for information and we did have one.

The only elite eldian family's head, Willy Tybur will be the host for tonight. Meaning to say we really have to get ready for the war hammer.

"Did you heard about the new titan?" We heard someone said as we stopped by in a food stall.

"Yeah the one with arms made of blades? My father said he will be introduced tonight." My eyes widened.

No... This is not good.

"We need to warn the others." Jean whispered to me. I nodded. We moved out of the stall and was about to walk back to the port when I slipped and was gonna fall out of balance when a set of arms caught me.

"Your high-Addie!"

I opened my eyes when the one who caught me brought me back up before turning his back on me. He flinched first before turning back which was odd.

He was wearing a black gentleman's suit with a round hat covering his face with its shadow.

"Be careful next time milady." He said before mixing with the crowd.

I dont know why but my breathing hitched.

"Your highnes, are you alright?" Jean whispered to me. I nodded to assure him.

"Yeah. I just felt something...Strange." I said. I couldnt find any words to best describe this odd feeling.

"We should probably head back." I agreed with him and he held my arms to assist me in walking. I was still feeling dizzy perhaps.

It was just a man who caught me before I went down the cement, why do I have to keep thinking about it?
