CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR: IN CONTROL

ADELAIDE'S

"Hange and her squad captured a five meter and a seven meter titan." Erwin said. I looked at them. I was sitting on my bed, still have a bandage on my head. Levi was near the window, looking outside.

"Once you're healed up, let's try to harness your titan controlling ability. How's that sound?" To be honest, Im scared. What if I wasnt able to control them?

But I need to do this. I really want to be useful. Like my mother.

"Im already fine commander-"

"Here we go again-" Levi interrupted

"Im not pregnant or something to be that fragile, Levi-"

"W-What-Aish Adelaide you cant say something like that out of the blue!" He hissed at me. Confused, I am, I ignored it.

"Are you sure? Levi's right. You just got concussion yesterday-"

"Im telling you Commander my body already got used to the black out. Please let me try?" I asked. I also looked at Levi who was looking at me. I heard him making his signature remark.

"Tch. On one condition." He said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Dont force it. Understood?" I smiled and nodded.

"Very well, Mike and I will alert the others. For now, you should drink your medications first.". I nodded at Erwin before they went out, leaving me with Levi who looked displeased. I sighed.

"Levi-"

"You're abusing yourself-"

"i'll stop when I cant."

"Fine. Just dont use your abilities too much." He said. I smiled and nodded but I caught him looking at me before sitting beside me.

"Is there a problem?" I asked him but he seems to be focused on my hair. Are there lice or what?

"Levi-"

"Your hair got lighter. Did you dye it?" He asked me. My eyes looked at him with confusion.

"Huh? No I havent. Why?" I asked.

"I dont know if it's just me or is your hair changing colors every time? From hazel brown it suddenly becomes close to golden." He said.

"Maybe it's because of the memories. Ymir is blonde." I said.

"Maybe. Just be careful and control your self" He said. I nodded.

Before we went out Levi made me wear a pair of pants and long sleeves.

A few minutes of walking, I saw a big makeshift tent where I assume they keep the captured titans.

"Captain Levi!" Eren salutes and also the others.

"Leviiiiiiiiii!" And there was Hange, she really looked excited to see me.

"Adelaide my dear, are you ready?" she started squealing when I nodded.

"Move out!" Moblit made sure to make way for us. Then we arrived the the base where the titans are in restraints.

"Meet Sawney and Bean! Beautiful arent they?" I smiled awkwardly when I saw those two bloody beasts.

"we got one regular predictablr and an abnormal titan. Also, Eren will transform later so you can also try if you could control shifters." Hange said. I nodded. I felt Levi standing beside me and intertwined our fingers. I looked at him.

"Dont get yourself tired." He said. I smiled and nodded.

At first I didnt know what to do, I tried staring at them and thought of taming them, but it's no use.

"Try closing your eyes." I heard Levi said. I nodded and tried again but this time with my eyes closed.

I breathed deep, slowly exhaled and remembered how my mother and brother died because of those titans.

They slaughtered half of what me and my dad's life.

They took almost everything from us.

"A-Adelaide..." I heard Hange stuttered but I remained closing my eyes.

The titans. They killed too many of us already. Now taste my fury.

"W-Why are they-"

"Adelaide that's enough!"

When I heard Levi, I opened my eyes and the horror of two titans beating up each other welcomed my sight. My eyds grew bigger as I saw those two hurting each other. Then the scouts finished them both by the nape. I lost balance and luckily Levi caught me.

"I-I didnt know that would happen-"

"It's alright, you did great. Now we know we can use that ability to make titans our defense." Erwin said. I nodded and looked at Levi.

"Baby...Your hair." He uttered.

I grabbed a couple of strands and saw that the hazel brown shade of it was gone. Now it turned.

Golden?

"Y-Your hair..." Hange expressed.

"Looks like your hair color changes whenever you use your ability." She added that I agreed.

"In my memory, Ymir had blonde hair. Maybe that explains it " I said. They all agreed to that conclusion.

"Alright, we can wrap it up now. We're done here. Adelaide, take Levi with you and get some rest." the commander told us. Levi wrapped me up with his cloak while his other arm was at my shoulder as we walk by.

"Im proud of you. You did good." He said. I smiled.

"Well, if it wasnt for you telling me to close eyes that wouldnt have work" I said.

"It's because Im one hell of a corporal." He proudly said while I just chuckled. I couldnt agree more.

He's really humanity's strongest soldier after all.

Night has appeared and we all just finished our dinner. Me and Levi went to his room to get some rest now.

I just finished taking a bath and wore a simple white thin long sleeves knee length silk night gown.

When I went out of the bathroom, I saw Levi looking at me. He's now topless and only in his pants. Just how he likes to sleep.

He pulled my hand and hugged me. I hugged him back.

"Why are you clingy today?" I chuckled, he pulled me a little bit to let my head look up to him.

"Nothing. Just wanted to be sweet." I smiled and kissed him.

His hand went down to my bare thigh, grasping it firmly while the other one slowly goes up to my chest.

He pulled us to the bed and made me sit on top of him.

His hands rested on my butt while his kisses went down to my neck, until it slowly reaches the top of my breasts.

"L-Levi..." I couldnt contain my moans. He smiled in between our kisses and pulled away. He smiled and caressed my cheek before looking at mw in the eye.

"I love you." He said. I smiled.

Whenever he tells me he loves me, it's like being in an open sea and feeling the cold breeze-What the.

I just saw something.

Open sea... My vision showed the scouts reaching the very end of tge land where our walls were built. Eren pointed the sea and told us

"Our enemies...Are just right at the very edge of this sea." Then the vision went out and I was out of my reverie when Levi called me.

"Hey. Did you have visions again?" I nodded. I looked at me and scooped me to cuddle while we lay down.

"You should rest now. You're tired alright?" I nodded. He kissed my forehead before encircling his arm to be my pillow while the other hand of his was intertwined with mine.

And as I was consumed by total darkness, I heard Levi spoke.

"Happy birthday, my Adelaide. I love you."
