CHAPTER ELEVEN: GAIN

LEVI'S

"You dont have to look for me twenty four seven you know." I heard Adelaide telling me. I looked at her.

We're both inside my office. She's sitting on my lap while she plays with my fingers.

"Hmm? And why not?" I asked. She looked at me with those red stained cheeks of hers. Probably blushing.

"Levi, before me, you have a duty to attend and do. I wont be anywhere far from you as you go home from missions and all that. I dont want to pull you down just because Im weak." She said. I sighed.

"Maybe I should enlist for the scouts? That will buy you a lot of time instead of always coming back to the headquarters to check on me-"

"You're weak. Let's face that reality." I said. She seemed shocked by my statement. I avoided her eyes.

I cant loose her in the field. Once she'll be caught between titans I cant save her.

"Maybe thats what strong people for right? To protect the weak." I added.

"Just be weak. It's your nature. Be weak and all, I'll protect you every single damn time you'll put yourself in danger." I said sternly. Tears were forming in her eyes. That so, I brushed those tears away by kissing her cheeks.

"Dont cry Love. It breaks me." I said. She sobbed and nodded before I kissed her lips sweetly then let her rest on my chest.

I can stay in this position for a very long time as long as she's the one I'll be cuddling with.

When I felt she was asleep, I checked hallway if there were scouts and luckily there were non. Most of them are with the garison regiment for collab excercises.

I sneaked out, carrying Adelaide with my arms to get her inside her quarters.

Her room was just in front of mine which was very much accessible for me whenever I want to spend time or check up on her.

I placed her gently on the matress, removing her boots and tucking her in the sheets. I planted a soft kiss on her forehead before heading out to go see Erwin. I suddenly remembered he and Hange were looking for me.

" We had some leads on our investigation with the Military Policr just now regarding with the attack on General Pixis' castle." Erwin began talking.

"Based on our prior investigation, those bandits who were probably hired by noblemen were from the underground city." Nile said. I looked at them.

"So you mean that somebody hired to get me killed?" The general retorted.

"It looks like they were just sent to rattle things up." Erwin answered.

"Rattle things up? To hell with that shit. They almost killed Ade-Lady Adelaide for crying out loud." I butted in. I couldnt contain the anger that Im feeling.

Those sick ass piece of shit! They'll pay for what they did.

"How is my daughter, Levi?" Pixis asked. I cleared my throat before saying anything. I saw Erwin looking at me. I ignored his meaningful stare at me.

"Her wound healed fast. She can now walk and run without even feeling any ounce of pain. Also, she's close to the southern cadet corps graduates." I reported. the general nodded and sighed.

"Thank you for keeping an eye on her. You have my respect." I was stunned but managed to salute at him.

"Forgive me for adding up to your duties. I know you are supposed to be on the field beyond the walls at this moment but due to my request, you chose to be left. I owe you one." He added.

"Protecting your daughter is in my highest of priorities. You can count on me Sir." I said. The General smiled for a bit and nodded. He excused his self to go see her daughter together with commander Nile. Now Im all left alone with Erwin and Hange.

"So. When will you-I mean. You have plans of introducing yourself to Pixis right?" Hange seeked for assurance. I looked at her with boredom.

"Of course I have." I platonically answered.

"Though you think you can handle the potential law suits for having relationship with someone half your age!" Hange retorded. Erwin laughed while I looked very pissed.

"Law suits!? It's not like I kidnapped her." I hissed.

"Levi we have that law under the charter of humanity regarding affairs with minors." Erwin told me.

"Im fully aware of that. And it states there that I'll be only sued if Adelaide doesnt want to be with me-"

"But have you looked into the following clauses? Once the parents do not approve of you-"

"I'll earn Pixis' trust." I answered sternly. I caught the two grinning like maniacs.

"Finally! You have a goal not relating to titans and exterminating them. What a new thing to adapt." Hange joked. I really hate this woman's sense of humour.

"Given the fact Pixis will accept you,what happens next? She's just sixteen. Eventually she's still on the verge of adolescence."Erwin says.

"Im not marrying her as soon as her father accepts me. I'll wait till she's ready." I said.

"Very well then. I wish you the best of luck Levi." I nodded.

"So does this mean you're not frustrated anymore or what-"

"Hange!" ah! what's wrong with this woman?

"Oh what!? We all know you're pure on the inside-"

"I'll kill you with a strike on the neck you four eyed bastard-"

"Hange's just telling something true-"

"Fuck off Erwin."

So these two are teaming up against me huh?

"Levi's a virgin huh? Oh dear."

"Shut up Mike. I'll cut your nose." I hissed

"Moblit come here-"

"Im fine with my view, Hange. I'll keep my mouth shut Captain."

"Fucking idiots!"

"hush now shorty, every one's like you before." Hange retaliated once more.

"You just wouldn't stop huh?" I draw my blade

"I got a new nickname for humanity's strongest soldier here!" She started.

"I'll start calling you Levi-rgin from now on Hah!"Hange laughed. I saw how the others tried not laughing. Even Erwin looked like he was about to shit himself for containing his fucking laughter.

" Leviright back. " Erwin teased. Then along with the other imbiciles, they ran off my office.

Damn you Hange!
