CHAPTER FIFTEEN: PECULIAR FACE OFF

LEVI'S

" If you see a Titan nearby, engage immediately! We cannot let those big ass bastards get to the communities!" I ordered my squad. We're not in the center rig, going straight ahead to the suspected breached part of the wall.

" Yes Sir!" Every one of them answered and went back to our wide range position.

"Levi!" Erwin called me. I moved my horse closer to him and listened to what he'll order.

"We have to prepare for battle, not just slaughter." He said. I looked at him questioning.

"Im pretty sure we'll encounter the armored and the colossal." He said. I was shocked.

"Regular titans cant breach walls. But with the armored's strength-"

"I'll kill those bastards." I said sternly.

"Let's not be reckless-"

"Being reckless is my specialty. You tell Jaeger so he can get ready." I said and went back to my position.

We pushed forward, as we always do. Scouting Regiment had always been about pushing forward, for the glory of humanity.

We aim to explore the world, expand humanity's lands and of course the main objective, to spread our wings of freedom to eradicate the titans.

Their reign of terror in our world will end before I die, this I swear.

For humanity.

For my fallen comrades.

For freedom.

And for the life I want to spend with Adelaide.

Speakingto Adelaide. I promised her I'll go home. And I intend to fulfill that promise.

"Sir! The breach has been located!" A scout said. We head to the root of this chaos and saw a swarm of titans moving inside the wall.

"Scouts! prepare yourselves! Switch to ODM Gear now!" We heard Erwin commanded.

As soon as I saw a tree, I deployed my hook and swung to mid air.

"Eren! Let your hardening cover the cavity!" Hange told Eren. Jaeger nodded and transformed. He killed a handful of titans on his way to the hole.

"Now Eren!" I yelled and so he did it. His hardened body covered the hole, but something feels off.

Did we really covered that wall that easy? Where's the culprit who destroyed it?

Then a signal was fired, both black and yellow. We shifted to where the signal came from.

This happened not so long ago. Annie Leonhart also wiped out a handful of us, mistook her as an abnormal.

As we rode to the area where the signal was fired, a huge fifteen to seventeen meter titan covered with fur started slaughtering the horses and smashing scouts as if they were insects.

"Another one with intelligence." I heard Armin expressing.

Shit! How many shifters are there!?

"I appears to be smart, killing the horses before killing the scouts is a great factor to outnumber us." Hange spoke.

"It tosses horses like they were some kind of ball and we're it's target." Connie commented.

"Are we gonna die!?" Sasha was already going crazy. I can only shook my head.

"He thinks we're intimidated by his size and look? He just looks brave, as if he has balls to begin with." I hissed.

"That's enough talking. Levi, Mikasa. When the chance arises, I need you both to take down that beast titan." Erwin said.

"Understood!" We both answered and shifted our gaze to that titan.

"Why does it look lik it's controlling other titans" Historia asked. Damn. It appears it's controlling them.

"We still dont know, but as far as I could think, I think a person is inside that beast." Hange said.

We advanced and as I reached closely to the beast titan, mikasa took down its legs and ankle while I aimed for the nape. I was going to slice the beast when its skin hardened. Fuck! Just like Annie!

"It can harden its skin!" I yelled at Mikasa. she looked shocked and continued slicing the legs so it could fall from its balance.

I sliced its arms and diced its insides until I saw the nape slowly undones the hardening.

I already aimed and had my blades spin when a pet type titan who looks like a shifter two almost bit me. That titan had a person in a mask was sitting on top of it while controlling its leash like it was some kind of horse.

"Heichou!"

I turned by focus on the pet type titan biting the person off from the its beast titan form.

Shit! I couldnt even looked at its face.

The titan and the person controlling it escaped and jumped, running up to the wall to run away.

I am about to follow them but Erwin yelled my name.

"Levi now's not the time! The titan's have already been cleared! There's too many casualties! We have to fall back!" He said. I sighed and whistled to call my horse. Seconds later my stallion stopped in front of me before I went to my position in the retreat formation of the scouts.

"Im pretty sure those shifters csme from outside the walls. That could only mean something." Hange spoke to me as we head back.

"There are people outside the walls who want us dead." I trailed off.

If this is true, then we're not just dealing with titans, but also other people from outside the walls wanting us dead.

But why?

Damn this shit gets deeper and deeper through the days.
