V3 Chapter 2.8

"Do you have any plans after this?"

While lining up the dessert on the table, I subtly asked the DemiMercSquad.

"We're going out to work again after resting for a few hours. We'll leave one of us behind together with Sez to guard Rhonya, so... who's it going to be today?"

"Hereee!! Me me me! I'll be sticking with Ojou today!" Ryuse quickly raised his hand first.

"Are you sure it will be all right? With just three members..."

Truly, I'm glad that someone is here to guard me, but what if lacking a member affects their fighting power? It made me worried, and so I asked about it.

"After the previous attack, this area is peaceful. No need to worry."

"We'll be fine I tell you, Ojou."

Sena-san and Ryuse-san laughed it off saying that it would be fine.

Just then, a magic circle appeared on the table. Out came Rotos rolling from the circle. Following them is a fairy, a Phii, who arrived while rolling out as well.

Phiis are spirits who appear similar to Toy Poodle dogs and are around two heads tall. The Phii stood up and stuck out its nose to me.

I answer by placing my nose close to its nose. Then Phii started rubbing my nose with its nose. This is how they show their greetings.

Phii wanted to greet the others as well, so it walked towards Sez and stuck out its nose.

"What's this what's this? So cuteeee!" Sez unhesitantly stuck out his nose and rubbed against Phii's nose.

Thus Phii went around and rubbed everyone's nose, and lastly it was the one sitting furthest away, Shize-san turn.

*Trudge trudge

Phii was hesitantly approaching him, and got close enough to Shize-san.

To the small statured Phii, the well-built Shize-san is fairly intimidating even when he is just sitting down. But even so, Phii built up his courage and stuck out its nose.

Shize-san-then accepted its invitation and rubbed noses.

Phii finished its greetings in huge joy, made a spin jump, and flew into my embrace.

I immediately hugged the mofumofu Phii tightly.

The curly brown fur was unbearably soft.

I too wanted to hug the fluffy Shize-san like this, but it seemed impossible to me unless I was still half asleep.

"Well then, You have to rest too okay." (Sena)

"...Eh?" (Rhonya)

I was confused as to why Sena-san said so. Thus I understood that Sena meant for me to have a late morning nap, and I was pushed from my back and moved to the lounge.

The lounge had several sofas placed around sinde. There are also a number of cushions, and it seemed more befitting of a napping room instead.

"Just choose somewhere you like."

"Then..."

While hugging Phii, I sat down on a random sofa nearby - a dark brownish-black colored sofa which was resilient and fluffy. Just then, Ryuse pointed his finger and laughed.

"Of all the choices you can make, you chose the Boss's usual spot!"

"Eh? My apologies."

"No problem."

I backed away in a fluster, but Shize-san then placed a cushion beside the sofa and lay down there. Sena-san lay down on a sofa placed on the opposing side of Shize-san's sofa.
