V3 Chapter 4.2

"By the way, Ojou. Someone upstairs?" while swaying his characteristic puffy tail of a cheetah left and right, Ryuse-san looked to the roof.

Looks like Ryuse-san knew either from her presence, or maybe her scent.

"My friend visited"

While I felt lost whether to introduce her or not, I answered that my friend is present.

"Does it have anything to do with your pocket full of sapphires? Sez said something about sapphires rolling all over the west street" said Sena-san. As I looked towards my pocket, I could see it was still filled to the brim with shining sapphires.

As expected of Sena-san, sharp ears and eyes.

Since there was nothing to hide from, I explained a little before I introduced Ryuu.

"Actually, that is right. Do you know about 'The tragedy of the blue ones'?"

"Waddat" Chise-san tilted his head

"It's about the era when the Genies were still slaves. That's like common sense, you idiot"

"What you say, Ryuse!"

Chise-san and Ryuse-san who seemed who be on the verge of another fight. As I glanced over the both of them, I continued.

"It was the sad era where the Genies were held captive. Not only the Genies, a race called Fiiro was included with the other 'blue ones'. The Fiiros are a race who sheds sapphire tears. Hence they were held captive for that very reason. My friend upstairs is one of the Fiiros."

As I said 'I shall bring her here' and went upstairs to fetch Ryuu.

Ryuu who had woken up seemed to have overheard our conversation, and came hugging towards me. So I hugged her and brought her down.

Ryuu is of the size of a five years old, but still very light. I was worried that she did not properly have meals.

"She's Ryuu from the Fiiro race. Ryuu, these here are Shize-san, Chise-san as well as Sena-san and Chis Ryuse-san. My important friends"

After I put Ryuu down, I introduced her to the members of the DemiMercSquad.

Even though I told her they were my friends, Ryuu was still on guard and hid behind me with a frightened face.

"What the, so small. I'm Ryuse, try calling my name" Ryuse-san used his tail to tickle Ryuu's nose.

Ryuu was surprised and slapped the tail away.

"Ha? What the, she's not friendly at all"

"Ryuu is a very shy child"

Ryuu went and hid behind my skirt once more. Feeling irritated of her attitude, Ryuse-san made a frown.

As I faced back towards Ryuu who was shaking, I consoled her by patting her head.

"Don't worry, they could be trusted" I squatted down for our line of sight to meet, and slowly conveyed. But Ryuu shook her head to the sides, and showed rejection.

It seems she was still scared. With no other choice, I held her hand and brought her towards the kitchen.

"Then, can you stay here instead? I need to prepare their meals, alright" thus I started preparing the orders the DemiMercSquad made.
