V3 Chapter 3.5

After Rhonya departed to the skies with Laclain, Orhedot approached Shize for a talk.

"Here, liquor. Have it with that Baron or whoever that is"

It seems the liquor Shize brought last night was from the Baron, so Orphedot gave back a full bottle of liquor from the forest as a gift.

"Please tell the Baron it was delicious... and, please take care of Rhonya. I heard you met with her brother. Although I have only heard about him... He's an unpleasant guy who you want to rip apart right?"

"...Even if I ripped him apart, Rhonya won't be happy about it" Shize did not dissent what Orphedot said.

"That's the core of the problem there!" or so Orpedot said as he sat down just beside Shize while he looked toward the sky.

"If only Rhonya desires it, we shall go and destroy that country!" Shize replied calmly towards Orphedot's violent statement.

"Of course this is an assumption, but I think it is inevitable even if she feels a little vengeance"

I would do anything If it's for Rhonya, said Orphedot vexingly.

Shize still stayed silent, but Orphedot did not mind it. Since he knew that Shize still listened to what he was saying.

"Rhonya's inferiority complex, is due to her family. Although she saved the Spirit Forest, she would say that she did nothing much, or Grey would've done a better job at it... All due to her family robbing off her self-confidence"

Rhonya was raised in an environment where her efforts are unrecognized. So much, that even after saving the Spirit Forest- the world at that, that she stills belittle herself.

"If possible, I do want Rhonya to stay here in this forest. She wouldn't be hurt, and be able to live peacefully here." Orphedot looked to the sky.

"...But you, would keep Rhonya there, right"

"...That is what Rhonya wishes"

"I'm sure she does..." Shize followed suit and looked to the sky

"Please take care of her, Shize"

"...yeah"

"Come for some more drinks sometime"

"...yeah"

They silently looked towards the sky for some time.

After I reconciled with Laclain, I went back to the DemiMercSquad's mansion, and made a big feast as thanks. From a whole roasted chicken to pizza, I served the dishes I was skilled at. But my heart was thumping nonstop and won't calm down. Since I resolved to confess about my identity to everyone.

And since the recovery magic treatment period has ended, I didn't feel a surge of drowsiness whilst feeling this scared.

"Woaa! This' a big feast!"

"Looks so delicious!!"

Ryuse-san and Chise-san quickly took their seats.

"What occasion? Making such a big feast" as Sena-san asked while he sat down on his chair.

"As thanks for guarding and taking care of me" (Rhonya)

"You didn't have to" (Sena)

"I helped too! It was so fun!" Sez smiled while he took his seat beside Sena-san.

Lastly, Shize-san took his seat, and I resolved that it's time.

Their attention moved to me who was still standing up.

"I have something to tell to everyone"

As I took a deep breath, my nervousness mysteriously dissipated.

"I was a noble from a Count house"

I confessed about my identity. Maybe, they wouldn't accept me for who I am. But even so, I no longer want to keep it in the dark from them, so I continued on.

"I ran away because I wanted to live my life leisurely" while making a joke seemed confession, I was serious. I looked towards Shize-san, then Sena-san, Sez, Ryuse-san and Chise-san whilst waiting for their response.

"I knew"

The first to respond was Shize-san.

Everyone gave a warm smile back to me, my face turned into a big smile.

"Come on, take your seat, Rhonya"

"Time to eat!"

"...Yes!"

My heart was filled with relief. I finally confessed about my identity.

And I would like to tell them about Schneider gradually... But I would take some time to prepare for that.

I enjoyed the lively feast on the dinner table.

"Rhonya, have you found the answer to why we kept you in our house and continued protecting you?"

Suddenly, a question from Shize-san came. It was about the homework he gave me some time ago.

I confidently answered.

"That's because everyone truly loved the shop where you can relax, right? Hence why Shize-san and everyone protected me. I as well, love the time we spend together at the shop"

"... That's alright" Shize-san's face softened.

"Thank you very much for protecting the shop I hold so dear"

As I conveyed and made a deep bow.
