V3 Chapter 3.6

3 Interlude - The Demon, the brother and the ex-fiancee

Leaving behind his guards and aide, Schneider rode through the dark city.

"Where did you go! Demon Belzetta!" as he shouted throughout the alleys, looking for the demon.

Schneider saw a glimpse of the demon on the way back from his visit to Ronard, Rhonya's grandfather. Belzetta appeared before him with an ominous grin on his face, and quickly ran away.

Schneider undoubtly chased after Belzetta who may have a clue to Rhonya's whereabouts.

"I~ am hyere~"

Belzetta in his male form was sitting on top of the roof. Resting his head on his hand while he looked down towards Schneider.

"Looks like you're having a hard time looking for Rhonya, ey. Idiot Schneider~"

"Belzetta!"

"Fufu. Shall I tell? Where Rhonya is"

Schneider's eyes opened wide to his statement. His heart was filled with excitement that he may be able to hear the information he had hope for.

But, the other party is a demon. He gripped his sword tighter while keeping on guard.

"Rhonya is doing very well~ And she looked so happy with her new life. But she seemed lonely... That's definitely since you're not around her, Schneider... She seems to be crying at night, longing for you more and more... so pitiful right?"

Belzetta then made a sorrowful expression while he hung his head.

His expression gave off an image of Rhonya filled in sadness, which pained Schneider's heart.

"P-please tell me"

"Will you go to meet her?"

"Of course"

Belzetta made a big smile that was filled with happiness.

Shcneider felt relief within his heart, since all this time his inquiry to Rhonya's whereabouts resulted in nothing. Hence, his heart then was filled with anticipation.

"Then, I'll tell -- you think I'm gonna say that, you idiot human!!"

His face quickly changed into a mischievous child's, and anger filled the demon's face.

Shocked by the betrayal, Schneider took his stance.

"She'd long forgotten about you and of course living a happy life! You think she misses you and cries at night? Heck no! Not even for one night!! More like, she's perfectly fine even without you! She's so popular and getting hit on all the time! With no space for you to slip in! You muorooon!" **

With his middle finger raised up toward the sky.

The demon continued, "like, it's your fault to begin with! Due to you chasing Rhonya out of the Academy, I'm getting chased around by that mage and that elf hero!! It was so much less of a hassle when she's by your side! What's with this 'best mage of the country' and that 'elf hero'!! Are you trying to stop the world from destruction or something!? They're super scary to boot!! And I'm running away with my life on it!! Damn this shit!! I can't even get one millimeter close to Rhonya!! And all of this is 'cause of you, dammit idiot man! Muorooon!! Muoron!!!"

Belzetta went berserk on top of the roof.

After spouting all he wanted, he started to wail in tears.

"Sob... And I just needed a little more... sob... a little more and Rhonya would've fallen (to darkness)..."
