The room was filled with an audience but my attention went straight to my family.

My mother was chained up while my siblings stood by, restrained by a few guards.

Despite the urge to, I couldn't yell or ask why I had been taken here. It was like instinct to show respect in front of such high-ranking people. All I could do was look like a lost pup to them.

My attention went to Nicholas's mum struggling against the grip of her husband. Holding her back to avoid causing a scene.

"Caius you can't do this." She stated.

"I think you'll find that I can, Elena."

"My king, I ask you to let my wife speak with the girl before you start this whole trial." Her husband spoke up.

"Caesar, are you saying I shall dismiss this court for your wife to converse with the child?"

My head bowed after hearing my 'child' label.

"Unless you are having trouble understanding Caius, I ask you to grant us the time." Lady Elena spoke so informally to the King.

The kings jaw clenched slightly.

"Very well, Elena. This trial will commence at dusk. Take the prisoners away except for her." The king announced all around the room, his eyes darted to me with a serious stare.

Everyone waited for the king and his queen to leave. Once out of the room, they all followed and left the court.

I tried to stand up and head to my family but I was held back by the General who brought me here in the first place.

They took my siblings away as they cried out my name. My mother was almost unconscious as they dragged her out of the room.

"I'll take it from here, Alistair." Lady Elena made her way to me, The general letting me go at her words.

She hugged me tightly until everyone but her husband was out of the room.

"Why has my family been taken away? Where are they being taken?? I don't understand, this is because I killed Sailor right?" I rambled on rapidly. "Why have they been brought into this? I thought the colony court was dealing with the case." I was very clearly panicking.

"We were in charge until they requested for the Kings court. Your pack had more to unravel and made the situation a whole lot worse." Nick's Dad answered.

"You're going to need a tough shell to get through this case, Athena. How are you? You smell a lot like Nicholas." She smiled. I pressed my lips firm together, going red in embarrassment.

"Don't overwhelm the poor girl more than she already is." Her husband tuned in.

"Caesar, this is the least overwhelming part. I'm simply building it up." She smiles at me looking very off put. She begins brushing down my hair in an attempt to soothe me as well as herself.

Her husband began informing me. "Your pack exposed some of your past history and put it against your case. They want more than justice, they want revenge."

"They want to make our lives as miserable as their own." Lady Elena sighed

"My history, I can explain." I stumbled a little. She held me still by the shoulders.

"It's alright my lovely. We've both been alive for far too long to care about crossbreeds." She grabs onto her husbands arm for support, fighting a concerned frown as she examines me.

I looked at her cluelessly in silence.

"Crossbreed?" I squeaked out.

My royal in-laws stood before me with troubled faces.
