~ ~ ~

These days I meet up with Chloe at the entrance.

We go to our usual spot, the tree shade.

"So tell me, how did you manage to get close with the lycans? I need some tips."Chloe asks.

"They sort of just dragged me along with them?" I answer.

"Details, Athena. Details." She persists.

"You've been at the same school as them for their whole lives and you haven't had a proper conversation with them?" I ask.

"I tried multiple times. They don't really bother talking to anyone. To talk to them, they'd have to want to talk to you first." She says sighing.

"Do people think I'm dating Nicholas?" I ask worriedly.

"No, they figured it was just Nicholas playing around again." Chloe answers.

Oh well that makes me feel so much better.

"Isn't that the answer you wanted to hear?" Azula asks.

Next question.

"You're lucky to be able to talk to them. I've always wanted to sit next to James in class. He's had that free seat beside him ever since first year." She says.

"Then why didn't you sit next to him? That's all I did." I tell her.

"You're new, you don't know how they acted when they were younger. They matured a lot since then though."

"What was James like then?"

"He was still nice and confident as he is now. But he has this side of him, he rarely shows that really makes it obvious he's Nicholas's brother.

One time when he was outlining something for an assessment and someone bumped into the table, causing his pen to slide, it was like the sun had disappeared.

He had a look that you would usually see on Nicholas. Except it didn't last long, he released his anger on his pen by breaking it. After that he returned to his normal self.

But you could tell he was still really mad that he had to restart his artwork."

"And that scared you?"

"It scared everyone. Despite the fact he had been nice to all of us even after the incident, no one dared to sit next to him."

"Hm." I hum. I almost signed my fate.

I haven't seen James in a while.

"Thats cause you don't want to listen to Saffron's request." Azula reminds me.

Oh that's right.

Chloe and I seperate as we go to our usual class. She had an extra music session that she needed to attend.

Unfortunately for me, our first class was with James.

I groan, messing up my hair in frustration. I take a deep breath in, while fixing the mess I made with my hair. Walking into class I noticed James wasn't here.

Thank Goddess.

But the relief was momentary.

"Hey." I look up and jump.

I stare at James, bug-eyed since I had no idea what to do.

"Are you okay?" He asks. I don't answer.

My pride wanted me to make sure Saffron didn't get what she wanted. There's no way in hell that I'm going to give into what she wants.
