~ ~ ~I stood back up, wondering what this guy was yelling like a caveman for.
Briar tightens her hold around both of my legs.
The touch of her hands were ice cold and quite soft, she seemed like a life sized doll. Too delicate to be around shouting men like this.
I observe as Archer and Loki are quick to be surrounded by their own kind, the vampire king wore an angered look as he spoke to those who worked for him.
Feeling Briar's face pressed against my stomach, I look back to her and brush her hair down in attempt to get her to relax.
Archer notices this. "Briar come here." He demands not a second later but she shakes her head, hiding her face behind me.
I sort of panic in that moment.
Thinking of what Archer would do if he deems me a problem that he needs to deal with.
"Briar please." Archer says in a more softer tone. "I'm not going to ask again." He adds just to pressure the little girl to finally make a move.
I gently reach for Briar's hand, guiding her forward.
"Are you the father?" Thomas curiously watches the exchange between me and the vampire king. He managed to ask something that I wouldn't have thought of in a million years.
Archer nods once Briar is in his embrace. "My late Queen Nicole was her mother." He stands up, carrying his daughter.
"Is. Nicole is her mother." Loki corrects and receives a warning look from his superior.
"She wasn't meant to enter this world. I had guards specifically guard the portal for that. If you would excuse me, I have to talk to some people." Archer explains with a deadly look on his face.
Leaving Loki with his kid.
Briar started throwing a small tantrum, asking for me to carry her instead. But Loki wouldn't let her near me just like how Archer was quick to pull her away from my hands.
"Does your mommy look like our friend here?" James had tried to help her calm down and it seemingly worked. He easily embodied a friendly nature that instantly made her prefer him over Loki.
"She is my mommy."
This was when Loki and I shared an awkward look that the three other guys couldn't understand.
Loki sighs as he calls for a guard to take Briar away.
We made our way to the grand hall as Loki explains to the three lycans about Nicole. They're all as equally intrigued as the other.
"So you're saying Athena's the mother?"
"I'm saying that Athena is just a reincarnation of Nicole. At least that's what we managed to come up with." Loki repeats with uncertainty in his voice.
When we arrive in the grand hall, the guys don't hesitate to let me walk in first. They were very persistent on it actually.
I pass the heavily armoured Lycan guards who were surrounding all exits. Stepping inside I instantly look over to the vampires seated right at the front with no food at all.
"Must your kind treat my people like prisoners?" Loki says with sarcasm.
His people all snapped their heads to me, immediately dropping their conversations. I see a wide sea of red, silver and bright golden coloured eyes, they all freeze like statues.
And I'm guessing it's because of me and Nicole.
Loki decided to lead me to the table.
Standing at the edge of the table, near the rest of his specific group. I looked back and to my surprise, I see the three lycan guys standing a few metres away giving me apologetic looks.
