I took my time walking to school.
Walking as slow as possible, still making sure I'd make it to class on time. And sure enough I just got through into school grounds before they could lock the gates.
I watch as everyone heads to class.
Some people had notice me, they all gave me weird looks. Whispering things to each other as they have a face full of disgust. Fortunately for me, I couldn't hear anything they were saying. My increased senses were damaged due to the fights back at my pack, all that yelling and pounding I received really gave me a headache.
I find myself pausing in the hallway, dreading the idea of walking into class again.
"How could you leave me?"
"Couldn't help it, I guess." I turned around in my heel and see him standing in the hallway with a longing look. "You were a little too clingy." I teased playfully.
"Come be clingy then."
A smile grew on my face and he copied.
Without another word, I rush towards him. Into his open arms, we hugged each other tightly. With my arms around his neck, he spun the two of us around.
It was a moment later before he finally placed me down and set a small distance between us. His face turned blunt and serious.
"You just had to leave for two weeks without a message." Altheo addresses. "It didn't occur to you how Nicholas would be for the period of time that you were gone?" He mentions.
I tend to forget that Altheo and Nicholas have a close-knit bond.
"It did occur to me." I reluctantly admitted. "I just-" I squinted to the walls, avoiding eye contact. "Didn't.. care." I painfully stated.
"Athena." He says.
"I had other much more important priorities." I explain. He nods, understandingly.
"He's been restless ever since you left." he adds.
"Who?" I ask.
Altheo deadpans at me.
"He wasn't the only one losing his mind, Athena." Theo admits.
I had nothing to say. It was still processing into my head. I was so disturbed to say the least. It was weird because..
I still had feelings for him.
Altheo.
"Get to class." He redirects me. "I'll find you later, alright." He says as he leaves a kiss on the top of my head. "Don't look back." He whispers.
My whole body seemed to listen to him once again. Walking away to class without turning around to check if he was still there.
Standing in the doorway, Everyone instantly began gossiping and I could only guess that it was about Nicholas and I. Only one person kept quiet.
"Welcome back, Miss Noir. Late as usual, please take a seat." Mrs Olleson says.
"Hi." I gave a small smile to James.
He seems to be in disbelief and frustration.
"This isn't the first day of school Athena." He gives a disapproving look. "That's all you have to say for yourself? After leaving without a word?" James says out loud. Catching everyones attention. Even the teachers.
