I couldn't fight back with the slow healing burns around my sides.

Louis had stopped pushing the embroidery against my skin as he found I squirmed around more when he did.

He was practically carrying me around like a rag doll. And I was acting like one too, unable to move, drooped over his shoulder.

"What's the point of doing this Louis?" I manage to say. "I'm going to die miserably either way."

I earn a chuckle from him.

"I guess you're right." He states. "And I guess this also means I should come out clean." He adds.

"What other shit have you done now?"

"Well for starters, I'm a seriously amazing matchmaker." He says. "I mean, Nicholas had no interest in playing the game for you until I had a say."

Whatever expression I had, dropped.

"Remember that party at Nicks?"

Clearly.

It was the day we had gotten too closer to each other.

"It was my plan to use you against him, seeing how you had enough willpower to insult thee Nicholas Seran. I had to show him how special you just were. To get him hooked on the new girl with the weakness. "

And it worked perfectly.

"You thought he would have fallen head over heels for me?" I scoffed.

This was before we found out we were mates.

"Who do you think got him together with Niña?" He replied. "I was the one who convinced her to mark him." I felt his slight laughter.

"You're a monster, you know that?"

"Everyone around you is a monster Athena." Louis reminds me.

"Do you feel left out?" I retort.

"Must I remind you that your mate is responsible for Isabella's death." He whispers. "Do you know how painful it is for my parents to be defending her murderers." He added.

Suddenly I feel myself being place down on a chair. My hands instantly cuffed behind me as I tried to escape free.

Another device was place around my neck. The stinging sense hit me as the iron came in contact with my skin.

"Don't worry it's not pure iron. You have plenty of time to melt away." Louis whispers.

But my attention was stuck on my mother, chained on the floor. Alpha Morales standing behind her. Parts of her skin was burned away and she had bruises all over her body. She looked like a tortured zombie.

"You were meant to get her siblings. Where are they?" Alpha Morales grumbles at Louis.

My fear and panic heightened, I felt myself heating up to burning temperatures.

"The second General evacuated them." Louis informed him. "And you wouldn't want to do that. If you shift now, your neck will instantly disintegrate." He told me.

"Breathe Athena, Breathe." I heard my mother call out from across the room.

Louis brought me to an open room which was connected to four different hallways.

Like an intersection.

I looked up and see her receiving a heavy slap, her head swaying far to the right. The sound of her scream echoed throughout the hallways.
