Queen Athena of Athens was sitting quietly in her office, ruffling through documents. After a while, the queen grew tired and bored, but her mundane yet strict routine stabbed her in the back once more. Athena sighed and sent for her daughter. Of course, she thought, Annabeth will make me feel better.

The young princess was quite repulsed by her job, all she did was sit in a frilly dress and plaster on a fake smile. And her mother was aware of that but, there wasn't much Athena could've had done about it. Annabeth Chase was a princess after all, tomorrow Annabeth would inherit the crown of Athens, and she had to be prepared for that moment. There was a soft knock on the door as the queen answered authoritatively: "Come in."

Athena expected to see a head of blond hair and a set of stormy gray eyes, but instead she was greeted with Maya, the maid she had sent to get Annabeth. Maya had her eyes glued to the wooden floor of her majesty's office and kept fiddling with the hem of her skirt.

"Yes?" The queen asked.

"Your highness, the princess is gone. We've searched the entire castle."

"When was she last seen?" Urgency creeped it's way into the normally steely tone that Athena used.

"Last time anyone saw her was when she took her horse downtown for some light shopping with her maids, but they came back without her." Maya's face was gaunt, and her eyes were focused on the hardwood below her feet.

"What do you mean?" Athena's voice rose ever so slightly.

"They said that princess left for the castle but The- they lost her ma'am." The young woman's voice quivered. Athena shook her head and slumped into her chair.

King Zeus of Olympus sat on the balcony of his office having a discussion with his wife Hera when one of his messengers, Connor Stoll, burst through the doors.

"What is it now?" Hera said, her normally beautiful face morphing into a scowl.

"Your majesty's, Jason ran away, and he left this note." Hastily, Connor handed Hera the note who immediately snatched it away.

Dear Mother and Father

I hope you can understand why I left, if not, well it doesn't really matter.

Jason

Hera only let out a frustrated breath and handed the paper to her husband.

"Search parties, bring him home, now." Zeus barked before leaving the balcony and entering his office.

Hephaestus was also just informed of his son Leo's departure with Prince Jason, but, the royal mechanic couldn't care less.

Queen Aphrodite was redoing her makeup for the seventh time and singing her favorite classics at the top if her lungs when Drew threw open the door of her dressing room.

"Yes, baby?" Aphrodite asked her daughter without looking at her.

"Mom, Piper ran away." Drew said, baring her perfect white teeth in a grin as her mother let out a frustrated groan.

"Well, she can't find a man to use as a toy anyway-" but Aphrodite was cut off by Selena entering.

"Mother, we have more pressing issues at hand." And with that the princess left her mother, seething with rage.

Hades dreaded it, but he'd allowed Hazel to leave. He didn't know why, but he knew that was the last time he would see any of his three children, he already had declared the other two dead but both him and his wife knew better. Bianca and Nico were out there, and now, so was Hazel. The Lord of the Underworld, for the first time in the past five years, allowed his tears to flow freely.

Hylla grabbed the knife, gripping the handle so tight that her knuckles turned white. Reyna had informed her before leaving but Hylla still wasn't sure why. Someone had to take the throne considering the illness was only getting worse. The queen coughed again, she regretted not telling Reyna, all she wanted was to not see her sister in pain. Now she was gone, and Hylla didn't blame her. She threw the knife at the target.

Ares, frankly didn't care (A/N see what I did there). He would just get Clarisse to be his heir, Frank could do whatever he wanted to. All Ares wanted was an heir he could use as a puppet when he retired, and well, any Spartan was fit for the role.

Queen Sally was in her bedroom, seeing as she had just woken up. As the brown haired woman tied her hair into a bun, her husband entered the room. Sally turned to see Poseidon. His eyes were foggy and seemed to be deep in thought, his brows were creased, and his hands were shaking. Quickly, Sally rushed to Posiedon's side, and took his hand.

"My dear, what is it ?" Queen Sally asked her husband.

"Sally," Poseidon gulped, "Our son has run away. He told the guards as he left the boundaries of the kingdom."

Poseidon expected Sally to react as if though the news were negative, but she only smiled brightly at him.

"That's all?"She asked Poseidon playfully, her teeth bared in a radiant grin.

"Why do you seem pleased, darling?" The king asked his wife, a confused look spreading across his features.

"My love, all I ever wanted was for Percy to be happy. And even if it is away from this castle, we must respect that he is doing what is right for him." Sally reasoned, looking at the king pleadingly.

Poseidon pondered over his wife's words, maybe she was right. Poseidon was Percy's father after all and his son's happiness was all he cared about but if Percy was to leave, it wouldn't have done him harm to inform his parents.

"He should've told us." Poseidon said, his tense muscles relaxing and he's the fog clearing from his sea green eyes.

"Perhaps, but my dear, you must understand that he was scared. Scared of your reaction to his desire, his desire to not be king." The queen said.

Poseidon sighed, kissed his wife's cheek and swiftly exited the room.
