"THALIA!" Jason's ear shattering
scream echoed in the throne room as Luke gripped his blade tighter and pulled out of his wife's chest. He didn't care anymore, even if Thalia were to die, Luke wouldn't care for it.

An angry yell caught Luke's attention as Percy charged the man who stabbed his cousin. As if out of thin air, Octavian, Nancy and Ethan appeared and engaged the girls in combat.

Jason dragged his sister's limp and bleeding body away from the fight.

"You fucking bastard." Percy sneered as Luke dodged one of his strikes.

Luke didn't respond but merely spat at the ground. Meanwhile, Piper flipped Nancy over and knocked her out with the butt of her dagger.

"You can't beat me, Jackson." Luke said as Reyna plunged her sword into Octavian's gut, resulting in a grunt from the latter.

"You think?" Percy said as he pulled a maneuver even he didn't know he could perform. He jumped straight into the air and flipped over Luke's head.

Luke proved to a bit faster here as he rounded in time, but his effort was cut short by a Stygian blade flying and cutting past Luke's shoulder, shocking him.

Behind Luke, Nico stood defiantly as both his sisters glowered at the blonde. Another entrance to the room opened and Leo emerged with the Royal prisoners.

Luke swiveled to see the newcomers and Percy took advantage of the small window of opportunity, sending Luke's sword flying to the other end of the throne room.

Percy grabbed Luke and pinned him against a nearby wall as Annabeth slit Ethan's left arm, causing him to fall and whither away in pain.

"Percy!" A voice yelled. Sally Jackson appeared in a doorway behind Leo.
Luke kicked Percy's knees from underneath him, which lead to Riptide clattering to the ground.

Luke reached for his belt and pulled out a dagger and raised his arm to stab a defenseless Percy as everyone else remained frozen in either shock or fear.

Percy closed his eyes and waited for an impact that never came. Instead, a dull thud echoed around the legendary throne room.

Percy slowly lifted his lids to find Luke down on his face. From his shoulder, a sword was sticking out.

Panting alerted Percy that his savior was right behind him.

Tears streaked Jason's face, he rolled over Luke's body with his foot, pulling the sword from the dead boy's armpit.

Jason had completely impaled Luke, stabbing him straight from the armpit through to the shoulder.

Everyone else left Jason as he dragged Luke's body to a corner.

Jason was vaguely aware of Annabeth telling Hazel to fetch Doctor Solace, but Jason knew that even Will couldn't bring Thalia back.

She had sacrificed herself to save Jason.

Thalia Grace was gone.
