3.GUILT

When they reached the hospital, they rushed to get Moon's arm treated. "Earth can you stitch this up", Perth asked a Resident on call. The resident just nodded and started preparing to stitch her wound. Moon looked at him with pleading eyes and asked, "P'Perth can you do it, please?" with a pout. Perth just gave her an understanding nod and went to prep for the stitches.

The whole time Saint was looking at Moon and then at the equipments with a pale face. Perth noticed it and said, "I'll give her a local anaesthetic so the part would get numb" to calm him. "You won't feel a thing, Princess and for later use, I'll prescribe some low power pain killers", he said turning his head to Moon.

He gave her the anaesthetic and then they waited for it to show its magic. Then he cleaned her would. "Nong you might not want to see this", he said. But Moon just shook her head and said "No, I want to see this too". "You sure honey?", asked Perth smiling at the curious little girl who nodded in response.

Saint flinched at the sight when the needle started doing its job but Moon sat there watching her hand being stitched in fascination. Saint never did well with blood. After watching the whole thing Moon exclaimed, "Woah! Por I want to be a doctor like P'Perth too". Perth nodded with his lips curved upward in a slight smile.

"But muffin, you have to take care of our business too", Saint said to which he received a glare from Perth for being a stereotypical parent. "Just kidding, muffin you can be anything you want, I'll always support you", he quickly added.

There was a silence and Perth finished his work. He was taking his gloves off when a girl came jogging into the room and went straight to Perth. "Phi are you okay, why didn't you punched that bastard in the face, who the fuck dared to hurt my brother", she asked, anger visible in her eyes. Saint quickly covered Moon's ears. "Aow, Nong Moon you are here", she asked and her expressions softened immediately. "Sammy, I'm fine it doesn't hurt", he replied.

"My Por did it," she said lowering her head. Sammy just gave Saint a glare. 'What's with all the glares today', he thought. Then Perth explained the whole situation to her to which she nodded understanding.

Then Perth took Saint's hand and placed an ice pack on his wrist. "You sprained your wrist punching me, you should learn how to do it properly", he said. 'Is he been sarcastic or he really means it', Saint thought for a moment.

"No, I'm not being sarcastic, you can rub off that frown from your face", he said looking at Saint's face. Saint gave him a shocked expression to which he replied with how his face is easy to read.  "But on a serious note, you should really get an x-ray to check if there are any bone damage, you punched quite carelessly", he then added. If you could die from shame and guilt, Saint would have been dead. Then Sammy made Perth sit beside Moon, so she can clean and treated Perth's busted lip,  still glaring at Saint. "Hey calm down he looks scared", Perth stopped her.

They did an x-ray for his hand and it, fortunately, showed no broken bones. "That's a relief", Saint thought to himself. "I've seen you somewhere", Sammy said out of know where.

After some time a slim and young-looking doctor entered the room. "Holy lord, what the hell happened to your face Perth", he asked as soon as he entered the room. The bruise on his jaw was now more than visible. Perth just rolled his eyes "It's not that important Phi", he replied.

"Oh Saint, you're here too, did something happen ?", he asked. "Did this brat did something to you?", he asked Saint again after looking at his wrist. "Now I remember where I saw you, you were at their engagement party, right", Sammy asked pointing towards P'Plan. "Yeah, he's Mean's best friend, his boss, the C.E.O of M.U corporations and twenty-three percent shareholder of this very hospital ", Plan added exaggerating. "Hoi, Phi stop", Saint said. Then Sammy repeated the story again. Saint wanted a hole to appear in front of him so he can disappear in it, every time the story comes up.

"I'll drive you home, I don't think you want to drive with your hand", Perth said to which Saint just nodded. Then Moon was still under the effect of her anaesthesia so Perth picked her up and she wrapped her hands on his neck. Saint tried to take her from his hands. But before Perth could protest because of his hand Moon answered, "Por, I'm not talking to you, you have to apologize to him".

Saint stood there guilty "I'm sorry Doc, I didn't mean to hurt you, it's just that I thought that she was in danger and her screams just added more to my doubts", Saint apologized sincerely. " It's okay Phi, I understand why you did, what you did, but you should take some classes to improve your fighting skills", he added with a smile on his face.

He then shoved his hand in front of Saint's face. "keys?", he asked. Saint gave him the keys. Moon refused to sit with him even in the car " You cursed him too, you have to apologize him with a proper meal", she said and pouted.

Saint rubbed the back of his head and said "I'm sorry again but you would accept our invitation for dinner this weekend", he asked. Perth hesitated but then Moon pleased him. " Okay, I'll accept it, now stop pouting", he said and started driving. Moon finally got off his lap cause he had to drive.

Saint's P.O.V

"I guess I misjudged him, he seems like a nice guy", I thought while we were in the car and he was driving. It was the first time I looked at him properly and god...

Was he for real?

"Damn that face, he looks like he straight up came from a magazine's front cover page and those hands", I thought to myself while drooling over the display of muscles in the driver's seat of my car. Then Moon suddenly changed her position in my lap to sleep more comfortably and I noticed what I was doing. Thank God he didn't notice.

What the fuck are you thinking Saint, get your shit together you can't like someone the love of your life is dead. You'll just end up making your life more miserable and will drag him to the mess as well. Just stop it.

I know that I'm bisexual. I knew it since I was 17 but I meet Alice when I was 18 and we started dating when we were 19. So I never really explored it more neither did I came out to my parents.

But looking at him somewhere feels wrong. Alice made me promise to her that I'll find someone that I'll love again but I'm so confused about what to do now. It also feels like cheating on her. I don't even know whether he's interested in guys at all. He seems to be as straight as a pole. I guess I'll have to wait and see where the time will lead me now.

Anyways what am I even thinking about, I just meet the guy

"So about the dinner at what time should we pick you up on the weekend?", I asked cutting the silence. "It's my day off this Saturday so I'm okay with your timing", he answered.

"Moon told me that you were going to adopt a puppy, how about I join you I have to get vanilla vaccinated that day too", he added to which I just nodded.

We reached our home and he parked my car, handed me my keys, and left after saying goodbye to Moon who just woke up due to shuffling.
