16. MR. and MRS. MASAMA

Saint's P.O.V.

It's been a few days since the last incident happened. I was a bit confused on the day of the incident when he came downstairs with his usual bright smile as if nothing happened, after which even I didn't ask him about the incident.

We were eating our breakfast, but my eyes were still on him, it was like I forgot his smile and happiness because of all the incidence. He noticed my obvious ogling and answered, "Saint I know you are worried about the whole fainting thing but, I swear I'm fine now there's nothing to be worried about now, I guess it's cause of my 4-hour surgery which I assisted, I also skipped lunch that day, I'm sorry". After that, he got up from his place and walked towards me, placing a kiss on my forehead and then took my dish to the sink.

Hiding stuff from him was hard but I can't afford to lose this bundle of hope beside me just cause I can't keep it with me and if it's for him I'll keep it with me forever. So I decided to leave the information about his past behind for him. But I was a bit confused that he didn't mention his nightmare.

After getting up from the breakfast table I went upstairs to Sammy to ask about Perth and why was he acting strange as nothing happened in these past days, to which Sammy explained that he's one of those people who does not remember their dreams.

I was glad of it cause since then as days passed by he has had 2 more episodes of nightmares where he wakes up all sweaty, trembling in fear. I couldn't watch his miserable condition anymore and wanted to help, so I went on to gather more information on who were these people and where were they now to keep them away from him as much as possible. P'Plan informed me that they were shifted to another hospital here in Bangkok after he talked with the Chief. Chief adored his youngest surgeon so he agreed to it.

Not only the chief but he won everyone's heart at the hospital in a very short time. I saw some kids in patient gowns, in front of his ward wishing him to get well soon after he was discharged. P'Plan told me that they were from the Pediatric department. He assisted the head a few times so the kids love him. I was still wondering how can such a wonderful soul have such a dark past.

I asked Lee to gather some information about them. He gave me the file after a few days of digging.

"Mr. and Mrs. Masama. They both were declared mentally unstable so after 7 years of imprisonment, they were sent to the psychic ward where they were under therapy for three years. After that, they were given the green light to leave. They spent a normal life till now but the husband was diagnosed with Liver cancer a few months ago and was seeking medical help at this hospital. They didn't know that Perth was also working there.

The record of the actions from them was well hidden, But after some more detailed digging, I got some of it, both Psychical and mental assault was involved. It does make sense that he lost his memory as this would've affected this mental health severely.

The lawyer his new parents chose was Mr. New Udomkaewkanjana, your uncle". Your parent's name was also involved here, Saint.

After the conversation, I decided to visit my parents later cause now I was heading to pick Perth up from the hospital.

After some days I finally got a chance to have dinner with them and ask them about his case and Ar'New's involvement. They were a bit shocked to hear these questions from me, but I explained to them what happened at the hospital.

They told me everything they knew. As they were the friends Sammy mentioned to me about, whose help their Mom and Dad took for the case.

Ar'Oh was not that influential back then. But my father used his connection to keep the information hidden for these many days. As they didn't want anyone to dig up on his past after he forgot everything. "That boy has gone through a lot son, he needs you now, be with him", I can still remember Mae's words.

"When your mom told me that you were dating a man I was a bit worried for Moon, but after knowing that it was him all my worries disappeared; I've seen him growing up, son. He sure was younger but he cared for everyone with every piece of himself", my father explained.

"He was devastated after he was rescued from there, he was so broken that everyone was on the verge of giving up, but he decided to put everything back just for his sister to be healthy; he's a real gem son, don't let him go", he added.

I left after a proper goodbye and a promise to bring him and Sammy here the next time I visit.

As days passed into a month his nightmares stopped, he became his normal self again. There were no signs of any negative impact on him and everything was going normally. He seems to have caught me spacing out a few times. But I assured him that it was because of the work he didn't look satisfied by my answer but respected my decision of not telling him now.

He patted my back and said, "Take your time". But after all, it's his past and even if it bothered me I know nothing about his suffering. So in the end, I decided to leave it behind and carry on with our normal life with zero hints of the past.
