14. FAMILIAR FACES

Perth's P.O.V

I woke up seeing the most beautiful human figure beside me sleeping peacefully without any worries. I want to get up but I certainly couldn't move. Because of the tight grip of this sleeping squid beside me. I chuckled at him.

"Wake up saint it's 7 already we need to start getting ready", I said trying to wake him up. "Ummhh.. 5 more hours please", he said. Is he 30 cause he acts like a 3-year-old to add more a very cute three-year-old. He opened his eyes into small slits with a pout and tried sitting up but that is when it hit him. The sudden moment caused him to realize the discomfort in his back. His eyes shot open wide, placing a hand on his back.

He glared at me all of a sudden. "What?", I said raising an eyebrow. He pointed at his butt. "You wanted the second round, don't glare at me like it's totally my fault", I said to which he frowned more and got up but sat on the bed again with a soft thud.

"I'm sorry na, I'll help you get ready, okay", I apologized. " Now come here", he said. I stood up and went to the bathroom to fill the tub for him. I helped him get in.

"Join in", he said still shy to look up. "He was a beast yesterday and now he's shy, his duality is gonna be the death of me", I thought and just laughed at his behavior before joining him in. I was sitting at the corner with his back pressed on my chest enjoying the silent bliss. I didn't dare to do anything else as we were still awkward now. Suddenly he turned.

"Why did you stop last night?", he asked. Wait, wasn't he just shy to even show me his face and now he's asking me the reason for stopping. "Didn't you say that you have a meeting today?", I replied with another question. He didn't ask any further as he was still feeling slight discomfort in his back and if I would've continued it wouldn't be just a slight one. After that, no one said a word and we just let ourselves drown in the mild vanilla honey fragrance of his bathing oil for some time.

We both left for work after that but together this time. He dropped me off at the hospital where I got teased to death by Sammy and P'Plan.

I was in the locker room after changing into my scrubs when I noticed the piece of art my boyfriend made from my neck to my clavicle so I paged the only person I could trust with this, Sammy. I knew she can hide them, after all, she doesn't carry her entire makeup set with her everywhere for nothing.

I guess I shouldn't have asked her that cause I got taunted to death again.

The rest of the day went well with my interns following me everywhere. I got to meet his Mae again when she came to drop Moon at her camp. Being with her brought back the warmth to my heart back. I missed Mom also my Mae I was not with her for a long time but her faint and calming smile is stuck with me forever.

I got a call from Saint for the lunch but unfortunately, I was unable to go due to some work. I haven't had my lunch and it 3 pm already. I was starving so I decided to eat something in the cafeteria.

As I was waiting for the food to arrive. I saw two familiar faces walk past me. But before I can recognize them they were out of my sight. I can't remember their faces but I don't know why a sudden wave of fear hit me. I tried to remember where I saw them but I failed. That is when I saw Sammy, even she looked a bit different.

"Are you alright Phi?", she asked with a worried tone and I can see a drop of sweat on her forehead. " I'm fine, Why are you worried? Did something happened?", I asked being confused by the sudden question. She sighed in relief.

"Did something happened?", I ask again watching her sigh. "Nothing Phi everything's fine, but you should not be here", she said I can see that she's trying to hide something and I was about to ask her why when she told me that P'Plan was looking for me. I knew that was not it, but then my pager went off. It was the chief, so I had to leave. I made my mind to ask her later and left.
