Pre-birthday, March 9
Being risky and flirting with a certain student in the presence of other students, is against all Remus Lupin's rules, but he does it anyway. Who's there to stop him? He will do anything whenever he feels like doing it. Especially when it comes to his precious y/n.
"Now pair up and carry on with the task. If you have any questions, I'm here." That's the last thing you've heard from Remus in the past 15 minutes. No more of his voice to calm your worries.
You huff and look around the class, absent-mindedly fiddling with your quill.
All your classmates are busy with the task Remus has assigned. He too is occupied with a pile of unmarked exam papers, every few minutes calling for a student to hand them their results.
To your dismay, your best friend has been sick all day and couldn't make it to the class, so you have no choice but to do it by yourself. (as you're the only one in the class who's left alone.)
What you don't know is that Remus has noticed this and tried to lighten your mood between the lessons, but your worry about your friend and also, his upcoming birthday, has taken a lot out of you.
After a few minutes of just staring at him, you sigh disappointedly and look out of the window, spotting some dark clouds in the sky.
'Unpredictable atmosphere of March. Everything just seems sad today.'
You're so deep in thoughts that you don't notice how much time passes or when Remus stands from his seat to make his way towards you until his calming voice brings you back to the moment.
"Miss y/l/n?"
You immediately avert your eyes from the window and look up to see his tall handsome figure standing in front of you, one hand in the pocket of his robes and the other one holding some papers.
You take a deep breath before replying. "Yes?"
"You seem distracted. Is there anything I can help you with?" He asks in a worried tone, yet a radiant smile is placed on his face.
'of course. Just come here and hug me.' You think to yourself before replying otherwise.
"No. Absolutely not. I'm just a little worried about my friend."
'And your birthday'You add to your unspoken thoughts.
"Well then. I'm sure she'll be fine very soon." He smiles reassuringly and holds the papers in front of you before continuing, "Since i called you a few times and didn't get a reply, here's your results. Stunning as always."
You smile apologetically and reach out to take them as he points at the papers in your hand, mumbling a "Check it." before winking and walking back to the front of the class.
