Lupin's pet
That's going to be the last thing you'll expect to hear today.
It's been almost 2 weeks since you had another argument with Remus about that same old topic, complaining why he was so stubborn and never allowed you to help him with his unbearable pain after full moons.
As a result, you hadn't even looked at him since then and every time he had tried to keep you after class and have a talk, you'd just shrugged it off, ignoring him entirely.
It was a painful ignorance.
You felt really guilty about leaving him like that and your mind was clouded with the thought of upsetting him too much, but to your great dismay, you didn't have free time to make a visit and ease the tension.
Endless amount of homework and essays mixed with your anxiety about upcoming NEWTs had left no space for other things.
He surely would understand, wouldn't he?
It all went on like this for 14 days, but you finally made up your mind. Remus would never stop with those I-don't-want-to-hurt-you reasons and it was impossible to stay away from him any longer. You had to talk and convince him.
So today is going to be the day you get back to him. It has to start well and end well too.
But nothing always happens the way you want...
You slowly wake up from a peaceful sleep to begin a beautiful day at Hogwarts, completely unaware of the rumors that are flying around the castle and what's waiting for you at the end of the day when you find out about them.
After standing in front of mirror for countless minutes and finally being convinced that you look your best for today, you make your way to the great hall.
You still don't look up or make any eye contact with Remus, but your heart starts to beat a thousand times faster at the thought of surprising this man for tonight. Avoiding the shocked faces of your friends at your new appearance and a bunch of boys who look at you with open mouths, you sit on your usual spot and decide to try something new.
Knowing that Remus is sitting at the teachers' table a few meters away from you, isn't helping your impatient heart. So you decide to listen to students' different conversations to busy your mind and calm your racing heart.
"Who are you going to shag tonight?" A voice comes from behind, but you just chuckle and ignore it.
'Only if you knew...'
Morning starts smoothly and at breakfast, there isn't much to talk about. You just hear some ranting about boring homework and long essays. Some others talk about their dates, upcoming Hogsmeade trips and a few chat about their crushes.
