Putting the problems and hardships aside, you could completely agree that raising two small Lupins was all fun. It was a blessing. Having two children that closely resembled their dad and constantly reminded you of him? Seeing their bright smiles and adorable faces everyday? You wouldn't change it with the world. Without a doubt.

Everytime you found a moment of silence to think about it, a feeling of pride would bloom and fill your insides. You felt like the luckiest mum in the world.

And wife, of course...

Speaking of the children, as much as your twins loved summer and its warm water-splashing days, autmn was currently their most favorite season.

Throughout the week, you would take them out to venture and stroll among the trees. They loved to fly magical kites, jump and dance into piles of colorful crunchy leaves and even help in the garden with you. Even at the times when the orchards at the backyard of your lovely cottage burst with apples, they would insist on going out to pick them.

Some other days they would sit in a corner and paint or stare out the window to watch the flocks of birds as they migrated to warmer places.

Oh and chocolate... it wasn't a want. It was a need. Necessity.

"... a day without chocolate is totally useless, mum. Believe us." They would always say in unison whenever you asked why they liked it so much.

Just like their dad.

(funny how none of your kids would reveal who taught them that term)

Beside all the fun, autmn was also a busy season for Remus and he had so much work to do. From teaching at Hogwarts to accomplishing missions for the Ministry of Magic. So weekends were something you always cherished and looked forward to.

And today was one of them.

You were on the couch, head resting against Remus's lap as he sipped from his tea. His free hand gently traced up and down your arm, causing all the tiredness to gradually fall away from you. You hummed delightfully and stared out the fogged up window, letting your fingers draw lazy patterns on his thigh as minutes passed in silence.

And what? Silence? It was odd.

The only sounds you could hear around you came from the crackling fire in the fireplace and the hammering rain that beat continously against the window.

So where were the other noises? Jumping around, running, yelling? Where were Hope and Hansel?

Remus had surely noticed that too. He brought your hand up and placed small kisses on your fingertips before asking in a low tone.
