First day of school part 2

Aang POV

I went through my classes relatively easy. There wasn't anything interesting that happened. Then the bell for lunch rang and I headed to the cafeteria. I grab my lunch from the tray and sat at a table by myself. I was eating quietly as I was thinking about my upcoming project and was trying to figure out what to do with it. I pretty much sat with my thoughts for the whole lunch.

Katara POV.

I was sitting with Sokka, Suki, and Toph when I saw Aang walk past our table with his food. I wanted to invite him to sit with us, but I got nervous for some reason. I felt butterflies in my stomach when I thought about it. But I didn't say anything.

During lunch, I continued to sneak glances at Aang while he was eating. "Why isn't anyone trying to talk to him? He seems cute" I thought to myself. My thought process was interrupted when the bell rang and lunch finished. I went about the rest of my classes and began to walk home. As I opened the classroom door, I saw Aang walking and he glanced at me. He gave me a small smile and I returned the favor.

When I got home all I could think about was Aang. I tried to distract myself with homework, but the only homework I had was the project.

So I mustered up some courage and decided to call his phone.

Aang POV

I heard my phone ring in my pocket as I was sitting on the couch. I grabbed it and saw I was getting a call from Katara. I nervously answered.

"Hello?" I said.

"Hey Aang, I was wondering when we should start the project..." she said.

"Oh, sure, I'm available most of the time, so when you want to start it, just let me know."

"Oh, I was wondering if you wanted to do it today?" She stated

"That's fine" I responded. "Where should we meet?"

"You can come to my house" Katara says. "I'll send you the address"

Aang receives a text with the location. "Great, I'll be there in 10 minutes.

Katara POV

I heard a knock on the door and went to go answer it. "Hey Aang, we can start working on the project in my room."

"Alright" he says as he enters the house.

As they enter the room they start working on the research for the project. After about an hour, they finished and Aang was getting up to leave.

"Aang wait" Katara said

"Yea?" Aang said while turning around.

Katara ran up to him and gave him a hug.
"If you want, you could sit with me at lunch" she said.

"Oh...um... sure. That would be nice." Aang said

"Great, I'll see you tomorrow." Katara said as she opened the door to her house.

"Bye Katara." Aang said.

They both smiled as they walked away.
