Katara POV

It's been a couple days since my "incident" with Aang. I've tried texting and calling him, but he won't respond. I hope I can talk to him at school and explain everything.

When I got to school, Aang wasn't there. So I decided to go to class. The teacher had been giving a lesson for 10 minutes when Aang walked through the door. Everyone was looking at him, but he didn't look back. He just handed the teacher his tardy note and went to his seat.

He sat down and started listening to the lecture. I tried to steal a few glances at him to see if he was looking at me, but he wasn't. He was just looking at the teacher.

But something was off. He didn't have an upbeat attitude or even crack a smile. He had dark circles under his eyes and it looked like he hadn't slept.

When the bell rang, I walked up to Aang and said "Can we talk?"
He just looked at me and walked away. I started to feel anger and sadness build up inside me, but I kept my emotions at bay.

The whole day went on like this and every time I tried to talk to him, he would just walk away. But once school ended, I decided to confront him, and talk, whether he liked it or not.

Th final bell rang and I grabbed Aang's hand. I pulled him to the parking lot and was about to speak, when he just walked away. At this point, I couldn't control my feelings and out of nowhere, I slapped him.
He put a hand to his face to feel the tender area. And only then did I realize the mistake I made.

I tried to apologize. "Aang I-"

He cut me off. "Don't you think you've hurt me enough without the slap?"
I was speechless.
"Besides, shouldn't you be hanging out with Jet?"

"Aang it wasn't what it looked like. He forced that kiss on me"

"What?" Aang said as his eyes widened.

I explained the whole situation and Aang was quick to apologize about everything he did. I accepted his apology and invited him to my house to do homework,

but that wasn't my only intention...
