Payback

Katara POV

I hope that the bottle lands on me. Please just be me, I would give anything for the bottle to land on me.

Aang spun the bottle. It kept spinning and spinning and spinning, until it slowed down and it looked like it was gonna land on me. But, it landed on Azula.

(Azula was sitting next to Katara)

I tried to be quiet, but I gasped somewhat loud. Everyone in the circle looked at me confused. I smiled awkwardly as everyone looked away. For I hate this game.

Aang POV

I landed on Azula. Good thing we made our agreement before we started playing. But, I saw how Katara reacted when it landed, so why not throw some salt in the wound. As I leaned towards Azula, I looked at Katara and smirked, and I made sure she saw it. I kissed Azula and it was alright. We kissed for about 5 or 6 seconds and then we broke apart. Once we did, I looked back at Katara and whispered

"Payback"

Katara POV

I watched Aang lean in, but he looked at me, and he smirked. Was he doing this on purpose? After their kiss, which was too long for my liking, they pulled apart. He looked at me and whispered so that only I could hear

"Payback"

I was stunned. He still wasn't over what I did. I guess I kinda deserved it, but it just broke me to see that he was still mad at me.

Soon after, the game ended and everyone went back to their normal party activities. I saw Aang talking with Azula. I don't know where I got this random courage, but I walked up to him and decided that Aang and I needed to have a chat.

Aang POV

I was talking with Azula after the game ended. We both made it very clear that we are just friends and we were both happy to agree. Soon after, I saw someone walk up to me and she seemed determined on something.

Once Katara had reached us, she uttered the simple phrase

"We need to talk, now"

I could tell she was serious, so I looked at Azula and she nodded. So I followed Katara outside.

Once we were there, I tried to start the conversation.

"So... what did you want to ta-

All I felt was a stinging pain on my cheek.

Katara slapped me.
