Kiss Cam

Katara POV

Aang's eyes widened and he blushed. But I didn't know why. It was weird that everyone was looking at us and I was super confused. I looked back up at Aang and asked him a question.

"What's going on?" I said

"Well...uhhhh... we're kinda..... on the kiss cam" Aang said as he chuckled nervously.

I blushed when he said this. But Aang was my friend and I didn't want to make him uncomfortable. Plus, I wanted to gain his trust back. So I talked to him.

"Aang, we don't have to do this if it makes you uncomfortable..." I said

Aang looked like he was thinking or contemplating something.

"I'm sorry Katara. I just don't feel comfortable enough to do that yet. I'm really sorry." He said sadly

I felt a little disappointed, but I put on a happy face
"It's ok Aang, I understand" I said.

Everyone in the crowd booed us for not kissing. And Aang seemed kinda disappointed in himself. Or maybe he was disappointed at something else. I couldn't tell.

A couple hours went by and now it was the last inning. Aang seemed really focused on the game and it made me happy to see him happy. I was trying to pay attention to the game, but then I felt my phone buzz in my purse. I looked down to open my purse and that's when I heard it

*crack*
I looked up and saw the ball coming toward me, and fast. I knew I couldn't get out of the way in time, so I braced for impact.

But impact never came. I opened my eyes after about 5 seconds to see the ball in Aang's hand directly in front of my face. I was breathing heavily as I tried to catch my breath from the adrenaline rush. I was shaken out of my thoughts when I heard Aang's voice.

"Are you Okay?" He asked

"Yea.... thank you by the way" I answered.

"No problem" he said as he flashed a smile.

Soon, the game ended and we headed back. Traffic was heavy so it took a while. But we eventually arrived at my house. Aang walked my to the door and I hugged him.

"Thank you Aang. I had a great time" I said

"Yea me too" he said.

As soon as I was about to open my door, Aang grabbed my hand and turned me around.

"What are you doing?" I asked confused

"Making up for the kiss cam" he said as he leaned in.

Our lips met and it was the most amazing thing I've ever felt.

It felt like an eternity before we broke apart, but we eventually did. I regained my composure and looked at Aang, amazed at what he did.

"See you on Monday" he said with a wink.
