A few days had passed since Delilah's breakdown, and things were starting to look up. She was back to how she was the first day she and Jenny first met. Excited about all the opportunities she had, trying to get to know Jenny better, taking care of all her chores, this girl was dedicated. She and Jenny had become a lot closer now that time had passed. Jasper was annoying as always, but still nice to have around. Eren had been sneaking off to Christine's cabin almost every night for... obvious reasons. They had basically been limping around for the past few days, it was actually really funny to watch, and Jasper would tease them endlessly. Jenny wouldn't add on, but would just laugh about it with her head turned. Another day had flown by and almost everyone was asleep already aside from Jenny. She was just thinking about the day, and how well everything was going. She had finally adjusted to this place, the adherents weren't as scary anymore, Asher was fairly normal, and everyone was getting along. Tonight, she might have finally been able to get a full night of sleep. Until the cabin door opened.

She was tempted to look at who it was, but stayed put.

"Hey, Chris," she heard Eren whisper from their bed. There was movement, and the sounds of what could only be assumed as making out started. Well fuck.

"You sure you don't need a break, it's super obvious what we've been doing. I don't know if you can take much more." hearing Christine talk in such a seductive tone was filling her to the brink with second hand embarrassment. She covered her mouth in shock and tried her best not to make a sound.

"I can take you any day." Jesus Christ.

More shuffling.

"Don't get cocky. Now be quiet, we're starting to get complaints."

The urge to get up and leave was so strong, but it would just make the whole situation even more awkward. The only option was just to lay there and painfully listen to it all.

The one night she was actually going to get some fucking sleep, this happened. Thankfully, they were both passed out around ten minutes after they were finished. Why couldn't they have gone back to Christine's cabin like they had been for the past few nights? It's like the universe was out to get her. Then again, Jasper was constantly making fun of them, and she was guessing they had been caught at some point, which was what drove them here.

Getting out for a few minutes would probably help since everyone was actually asleep now. The last time this happened, though, she got scared by the adherents. She would have heard talking if there was another offering tonight, so she figured it was fine.

Jenny didn't even bother trying to be quiet at this point, if Eren and Christine could do... that... with no problem, she could walk freely, it was only fair.

There was nobody outside holding lanterns so it was darker, and more difficult to see, but she would manage. Jenny sat down on the top step of the cabin, and just took in the scenery. The whole view was beautiful, even if there were dark corners she couldn't see past. The string lights were shut off, but still made for nice decor. It was always dead quiet inside the cabins, so the crickets chirping were so relaxing. It was a little windy too, so the trees rustling and the grass blowing reminded her of home, during the spring. While she didn't go outside often, it just brought a sense of nostalgia. When she and her friends would play in the yard when they were kids. Laughing, without a care in the world. She really did miss being a kid. But when she was little, she wanted to get older as soon as possible so she could be like Steph. Pretty, popular, everything a guy could want. But as she got older, she realized none of that mattered, and being herself was what mattered. Every time she ever thought about home, it made her feel lost, but now it was different. Like it was comforting somehow. She smiled to herself and got lost in thought before light footsteps were heard from just up ahead.
