the next day was normal. we go to class, as usual, eat lunch and i don't know. it's already dinner time. we eat without any particular conversation. i see across the hall to the gryffindor table to see harry already looking at me. i give him a nod to remind him that i still am gonna teach him tonight at the astronomy tower. he reciprocates my nod, ron, who was beside them talking to him but then he realises that harry's looking my way, he waves heartily towards me. hermione, who was across from them with her back to me, turns her body and smile to me sweetly. i return their gestures.

"why was potter nods to you?" draco asks.

"oh, i'm gonna help him for the last task tonight," i answer truthfully.

"okay..." he just nods and focusing back to his plate. he is not the old draco anymore, he's sweet and soft.

"are you going to join us tonight y/n?" blaise asks from in front of me, doesn't listening to mine and draco's previous conversation.

tonight they're planning on hanging out with a bit of fun. god knows what fun is, it's firewhiskey and playing games, that's what we usually do.

"nope"

"busy with potter innit" pansy wriggles her eyebrows, daphne stifles her laugh.

"not like that, you bitch" i throw some green beans towards her and she dodges it just in time. bitch, that is what we call each other, and we don't take it to offensively because we know that was meant as a joke but some people ( who just knows us as a person ) thinks that we mean it as an insult for each other, though they know that we're best friends.

after we finished our dinner, we go back to the common room. it's currently 8.35pm, i must wait for another one and a half hour for passing curfew. and fortunately, there's no class at astronomy tower today. blaise, theo, pansy, daphne, and draco are going to hang out at the boys dorm, starting at curfew also.

currently, the girls and i are doing face masks. i waited for the mask to dry-off while reading spells book, looking for something that might help harry with his task. daphne and pansy are painting each other's nails by now. after my mask dry, i wash it off and change myself from pyjamas into something more appropriate. it's already 9.45pm, and i'm going to go there now so that i wouldn't be late and not rushed.

"helping potter?" pansy asks, gently blowing her damp nails.

"mhm, tell the boys sorry that i couldn't get to join" i picked up my wand and carry a small bag for bringing some objects that might help soon. pansy hums in a way of saying 'okay',

"don't do something that i would do though, my dear innocent child" daphne playfully scolds me. we all know that all of us are dirty-minded.

"of course no! the fuck daphne" i walk toward the door, "bye guys"

"bye y/n," they both say together.

i walk to the semi-full common room. some of them are playing, some of them working on their homework, some of them just chilling in front of the fireplace. just before i could open the door to the outside common room, draco appears from the boys dormitory stairs,

"y/n!" he shouts. i turn my body to see him running to my way, kissing my cheek gently. "uhm... that's it"

"you're so soft now draco" i chuckle, patting his cheek. "bye!"

"bye darling," he mumbles as i open the door, i get out and before i close it, i saw him waving his hands slowly like a child, with small pout on his lips.

i walk on the hogwarts ground that's empty right now. just a gust of wind passing by, a sound of water droplets from the roof, a concrete cold stone beneath my clicking shoes.

as i walk upstairs to the astronomy tower, i didn't expect to see him this early ( seeing as it is still 5 minutes before curfew ), but here we are.

his back facing me, hands on the railing tightly, he seemed to be overthinking; scared of what will happen in the third task, cause he is sure as hell has a hunch that saying this is going to end badly. "harry," i say softly. he cranes his neck, looking at me.

"oh, hi"

"hi..." i chuckle, awkward silence took over the comfortable silence. "do you wanna start practice now? or?"

"yea right now, i haven't search what hexes i want to learn though or maybe we could search it first?"

"i already find all of it for you... you have succeeded the impediment curse, right? so we're going to start on the reductor curse"

"why the fuck you and hermione are so brilliant? i don't even know what is that" eyes glistening with awe looking into mine, i look away.

"i'll take that as a compliment so, thank you" we both sat beside each other —shoulders touching, with our back against the cold stone, a little note in my hand whilst harry twirls his wand in his hand. "reductor curse is a curse which would enable you to blast solid objects out of your way" i take an empty bottle of firewhiskey from my bag. "you could use this as the trial object" i took a glance to harry, who was looking at me as if i were a star that he wishes he could have as a child.

i nervously cough, bringing back the 'normal' atmosphere. "there's no wand movement, you just pointing it at the object, the incantation is reducto" we stand on our feet, the bottle near the edge of the astronomy tower. the first attempt he fails, also second and a lot more. we decide to take a break.

it's midnight already without even realising it. we both lay on our back looking at the stars ahead of us. we are not talking or anything, we just simply enjoying each other's presence if that's even a real thing.

"look at us... here... together... and we're supposed to be enemies" i chuckle merely, potter turns his head to see me looking at the stars.

"i never really understand why we were 'enemies' actually"

"i wasn't brave and i have no control of my mind, but now i have them both a bit"

"i made mistakes by despising you back then, wasn't i? i'm sorry, i never thought you would be such a good girl" he says sheepishly.

"good girl," i scoff, "i always get punished for no reason harry, and i hate myself for listening to her"

"her?"

"my mum, she gave me scars. both mentally and physically. i'm trying to run away, but she held me down by making me believe all those horrible things"

"i'm sorry... if you need someone to talk to, i'd be glad to hear" i turn my neck towards him, smiling softly, getting lost in his emerald green eyes.

"thank you harry" he smiles genuinely and gazing back at the stars before us.

"i always found constellation fascinating but i never understood it. when i was a baby, i remember my mum telling me about constellation whilst we're stargazing on the way to my grandad's house, even though i was like what —8 months? i don't know, but i remember it, or at least that's what happened in my head" he changes the subject.

he lost his parents and he doesn't even know what to believe. what's really happened or it's just simply imagination.

"i love constellation. you see there, the one that looked like 'w' —it's cassiopeia, my favourite" i point my fingers to the sky where cassiopeia is. "i learned it myself when my mum uh— when my mum isn't able to accompany me, i always stargaze on the rooftop and i found a book about constellation, greek gods like that in the library so... i read it and somehow memorise it" i'm not ready yet to tell harry that my mum is a death eater. she's not as well-known as bellatrix lestrange but a very loyal one to voldemort.

"you're brilliant" harry breathes, looking into my eyes, cheeks flushed.

"thanks, you are too" we keep an eye contact for some seconds before we fixed our eyes to the beautiful shimmery sky above us with our hands beside each other, touching. my pointer finger clinging into his without knowing.

"tell me more about constellation"
