"Mrs. Song. Can I take your daughter out for a date?" Jaemin blurted out.

I gulped nervously and it seems like my eyes got stuck at our intertwined hands.

Mom and EunKyung probably had the same reaction as I did.

"What?!" I almost stuttered.

I looked at my mom and shook my head when I saw her looking at me intently.

"I like Soojin so I'm asking for your permission before courting her."

I just stared at him and I couldn't stop my heart from racing.

Suddenly?? Really Na Jaemin? You freaking like me??

Mom gasped and almost dropped her purse.

"I didn't knew this guy was quite straightforward." Mom chuckled awkwardly.

EunKyung was shaking her head while giggling at the embarrassing sight.

"Okay. But the final decision is not up to me, Jaemin." Mom said with a small smile.

"It'll be Soojin's decision to accept your feelings." She added before pulling EunKyung with her.

We were left alone in the isle and I pulled my hand away.

I was so damn flustered.

"Are you mad? Sorry I didn't meant to-"

"What is really your intention?" I asked.

I have no times for games.

He took a deep breath before looking straight into my eyes.

"I'm gonna court you, Song SooJin."

I furrowed my eyebrows and felt kind of pissed.

"Suddenly? Really Jaemin?" I scoffed.

"After a week of ignoring me? No calls...Not even messages. Did you know how confused I got when you never spoke to me after that day?" I looked away and calmed myself.

"I'm sorry if you felt that I was ignoring you."

Jaemin said as he held my hand while giving me a small smile.

"I was actually making things right before actually committing myself to you, Soojin. I know it's confusing and crazy but I just want you to know that my intentions are pure and I sincerely want to be with you."

I gulped and looked at Jaemin.

I'm not sure if he can hear my heart racing, but I hope not because that'll be so embarrassing.

"You know what? You're weird." I said.

"I know...Now can we help your mom out? She seems to have a hard time pushing her cart." Jaemin said as he looked behind me.

I raised a brow and checked what he was looking at and gasped when I saw mom trying to push the heavy cart.

I looked at Jaemin and we couldn't help but chuckle.
