Serendipity || Na Jaemin FF (Ongoing)

[Jaemin's POV]

I thought it was just me, but Soojin was indeed avoiding me the past few days.

I went back to the gym to get Soojin's stuff but I saw EunKyung and Hyuri having a serious conversation with their professor.

I went near them and Hyuri gave me an apologetic look.

I furrowed my eyebrows and asked what really happened.

"Hello, sir. Soojin's been treated at the clinic. The nurse said not to worry about it." I said and the professor sighed.

"That's a relief. Hyuri, this shouldn't happen next time. I know it was an accident but this wouldn't happen if you were extra cautious." The professor said.

"Anyway. I'll go check on her so continue practicing." He added and left.

"What really happened?" I asked the both of them.

Eunkyung was staring blankly at Hyuri and rolled her eyes.

"It was an accident." Hyuri said in tears.

"Why are you crying? You should at least apologize to Soojin instead." She said and I was shocked.

EunKyung wasn't the type of person who stands up for herself but I'm surprised she did it for her friend.

"We were informed that one of the rackets was damaged. She should've checked hers twice or thrice but I bet she didn't." EunKyung said and left immediately along with Soojin's stuff.

"Eunkyung..." Hyuri looked so shocked and I patted her shoulder.

"She's just surprised as you are. I'm sure none of you  wanted what happened." I said.

"I'm sorry if I was so careless." She said as wiped her tears.

"You have to be just careful next time." I said and was about to leave when she pulled the hem of my shirt.

"Jaemin." She called.

"Aren't you mad at me?" She asked.

"As you said, it was an accident. So I'm not. Not unless you planned it? Then I might get mad." I said.

She gulped and removed her grip.

"I'll see you around." I said and left immediately to go check on Soojin.

[End of JAEMIN's POV]

"I'm sorry Jaemin. But I'm not sorry with what I did to her."

I was awaken by my mom's voice and I smiled a little when our eyes met.

"I'm glad you're fine." She said.

She checked on my bandage and I tried hiding it by covering it using my hand.

"I'm okay. I think I just need more sleep." I said.

"Are you feeling better?" The nurse asked.

"Yes. Just feeling a little light-headed." I said as i sat up straight.
