Serendipity || Na Jaemin FF (Ongoing)

"Do you want to join the club with me?" Jaemin said.

I gulped and covered my mouth cause I nearly coughed.

"Eat slowly. You okay?" Jaemin said as he offered me his water.

I took it and drank some.

"Thanks." I said.

"You can have it." He said and took a bite of his meal with a small smile.

I was flustered.

"So, do you want to join Jaemin?" Mark asked.

Jaemin was looking at me and patiently waits for my answer.

"Uhh...I guess so?" I absent mindedly answered.

"I guess so?!" Soo-ah mouthed as she gave a "really??? ಠ_ಠ " kind of look.

"Oh boy." Rihyun shook her head.

"Uhm, I mean yes sure I'd— love to." I said in panic.

Jaemin chuckled and my heart raced.

"Jaemin-ah, Mr. Kim asks for you in his office." A classmate of them interrupted.

"Oh, okay. I'll go in there in a minute." He said.

"I'll go ahead. Soo jin, see you." He said and it left me hanging.

I awkwardly waved goodbye and saw my friends giggling.

"Cut it out." I whispered.

They all shrugged.

I secretly stared at him as he walked away.

"So Soo jin, you're from class 1A too right?" Mark asked and it got my attention.

I nodded.

"Ohoo so you're one of the best students in freshmen~" Renjun teased.

I shook my head aggressively protesting that I wasn't and Rihyun pinched my cheek.

"Cutie." Jeno suddenly said.

The guys became silent.

Renjun sternly stared at him.

"What? I just said that cause I thought her reaction was cute..." Jeno confusingly answered as he rubbed his nape.

"Yah! You guys misunderstood! I know Jae-" Jeno wasn't able to finish what he was saying because Mark quickly covered his mouth.

I gasped.

"Is everything okay??" I asked.

"Guys, I think we have to leave. Come on. See you around girls!" Mark said as he pulled Jeno further away.

We nodded.

"Well that was weird. They're really different." I said.

"I agree." Soo-ah said.

"I don't understand those dorks sometimes." Rihyun said and I chuckled.

"Oho, look who's blushing." Soo-ah teased.

Eun Kyung was at the side blushing.

I was trying not to talk too much cause they might make fun of me too when Rihyun looked at my direction.

"Yah speak up." She said.

"Huh?" I said.

"Come on! Tell us what you feel about Jaemin asking you to join him~" she added.

"What do you mean? What should I feel?" I asked.

"Soo Jin is blushing! We all know what that means!" Eun Kyung interrupted.

I felt my cheeks warm even more.

"Y-yah! That's not true..." I shyly said.

"Whatever you say. I still believe you're whipped for Jaemin~" Eun Kyung said.

"Renjun, shut up." Rihyun said and she blushed again and we chuckled.

"Rihyun, don't forget we need to go to the library to borrow books for Physics." Soo-ah said.

"Do you guys want to come with us?" Rihyun asked.

"You go ahead. I'm still gonna sort the things in my locker." I said.

"Okaaay, see you later~" Eun kyung said and we went separate ways.

I walked alone along the corridors and I was busy sorting my things when a guy stood beside me.

I immediately checked who it was and to my surprise it was him again.

It was Jaemin. Again. And this time it was just the both of us.

"Oh, Soo jin." He said.

I took a step and gave him some space since his locker was above mine.

"Jaemin. I thought you were at Mr. Kim's office?" I said.

"Hmm, I was. He just gave my book back." He said as he showed a book on his hands

He seemed to be really friendly.

"Oh.." I nodded.

Ugh why am I so damn awkward!

He opened his locker and an old polaroid photo fell.

I didn't clearly see what it was but I was sure it was a girl smiling brightly at the camera.

I was surprised because he just slowly picked it up with no expression in his face and kept it inside his pocket.

My heart sank. I didn't knew what to feel.

"Soo jin, I don't really know why. But do I make you feel uncomfortable?" He said while calmly closing his locker.

"HUH? No. Not at all." My eyes widen.

He faced my direction and patted my head.

"I'm glad to hear that." He said.

He flashed his oh so genuine smile and it automatically made me smile too.

If only time could stop...I'd wish it to be now.
