Serendipity || Na Jaemin FF (Ongoing)

"Soojin, someone's looking for you outside." A classmate of mine said.

I raised a brow and thought who would visit me at this hour?

"Cry baby!" Bomin greeted as he waved his hand towards me.

My eyes widen and I slapped his arm.

"Shh! Quiet!" I warned.

"What the heck are you doing here??" I asked.

"Well I was just checking on you." He casually said.

"Uhm...why??"

"I heard from Donghyuck that Jaemin is acting strange these days." He said.

My heart sank once again when I heard his name.

It's been months since we started avoiding each other after that incident.

Like we don't greet each other at all even at school. That actually did not affect my relationship with everyone in the student council though. But the incident made an impact in my relationship with Jaemin.

"So? What does that have to deal with me?" I asked blankly.

"Come on. You know why." He said as he leaned on the wall for support.

"Wow that girl looks cute." He randomly said which made my eye roll.

"Girls again." I said and he just chuckled.

"Look. He's looking at our direction." Bomin said and I gulped.

"S-so what?" I awkwardly laughed.

"Kidding." He stuck his tongue out at me and I glared at him.

Little did I know, Jaemin was indeed looking at us while we messed around.

"I have to go, cry baby. I'll see you around." Bomin said and I waved him goodbye.

I was about enter our class when I saw Jaemin staring.

He smiled at me but it was sad one. I smiled back at him because that's the least thing I could do.

That was the first time he smiled at me again...first time in months.

"Hey. Are you still not gonna talk to Jaemin??" Rihyun asked.

I sighed and flipped a page of the book I was reading.

"I don't know. I still don't feel like it." I simply said.

Lie. I badly wanted to talk to him but I'm too shy to do that and besides I feel like he doesn't want to talk to me anymore anyway. Not after I rejected all of his calls and messages.

"I'm surprised Jaemin didn't reached out to you as well." EunKyung said and I looked at her.

If only they knew how Jaemin tried to reach out to me...

"I agree!" Sooah said.

"Maybe something happened?? Donghyuck kept insisting somethings strange. He's been absent for days too but I forgot to ask Jeno whyyy." Rihyun added.

I stared blankly at my book and honestly felt worried.

"Oh there they are!" Rihyun suddenly said.
