Odell

I was sat in History when I was called into the principal's office. Never in my life have I done anything wrong. I've never been in trouble. I'm just a shy guy who's obsessed with online gaming. I'm a nerd. I don't do much but play games and study. I play football from time to time but I'd never make it onto the team because like I said, I'm a nerd. I would never fit in.

I knocked lightly on the principals door and waited outside until I heard a gentle 'come in.' The principal is an elderly man, he seems genuinely nice. I've never been on the wrong side of him but he seems like one of those guys you wouldn't want to cross.

"Ah, Mr Beckham, take a seat" I noticed as I walked further into the room that Ms Martel was occupying one of the two chairs by the desk. I slid into the second empty chair. "You're an incredible student, Mr Beckham, and we can all wish that every student is like you, but unfortunately that isn't the case. Ms Martel has a student in her math class that she sees is struggling a little and would benefit from some individual tutoring" huh? "I've set up a meeting on Monday with you and the other student, so long as you agree, Mr Beckham?" they're making me agree now? They think I'm good enough to tutor someone. Could I really handle that responsibility? Who could they possibly want me to tutor? "Mr Beckham?" I jumped from my thoughts to see Mr Atkins staring at me with raised eyebrows. "What do you say?" I found myself nodding my agreement. "Lovely" he clapped his hands together and smiled widely over at me. "The meeting is set for 8 on Monday morning. It will be in my office. I'll see you then. You're dismissed" I pushed myself up from the chair and turned to leave the room. Did I seriously just agree to tutor someone? I've never done this. What if I fail? What if I can't tutor them?

"Hey Dude" I jumped, glancing to Clint who lightly hit my arm to grab my attention. "What's up with your face?"

"I-I just agreed to tutor someone" his eyes widened.

"What? Do you know who?" I shook my head as I headed for my locker which I opened and began to grab out what I would need. "What if it's Demi?" the mention of her name just made my cheeks heat up. I shook my head again. "It could be. I mean she doesn't exactly come across a genius" I glanced to him as he leant back against the lockers beside mine, his arms crossed over his chest. "Maybe it'll be your way of getting to know her" I rolled my eyes as he wiggled his eyebrows.

"Shut up, Man."

"Come on, Dude, you've had a crush on her since you were like 12" I rolled my eyes, focusing on my books in my locker.

"And she doesn't need to know that. I'd just get the shit beaten out of me. Have you seen her boyfriend?" Clint sighed.

"You're not exactly skinny, Odell" I shook my head. "You have as much of a chance at getting her as anyone else."

"No, I don't. This is end of discussion, we have lessons" he thankfully dropped it and we headed towards biology.

As we were heading down the corridor, I saw her and her boyfriend stood by her locker, their arms wrapped around each other. All I could see was the back of her head but even then, I knew she was beautiful. I've seen her face enough to know that. My eyes roamed slightly down her body and I couldn't help but to admire her ass in her jeans. I respect women. I don't treat them like meat but I'm still a guy.

"Yo, Nerd. What you looking at my girlfriend for?" I jumped from my stare and glanced up to meet Nick's eyes.

"Come on, Dude" Clint grabbed at my arm and dragged me down the corridor and away from the affectionate couple. I heard her laugh, her amazing laugh that bounces off the walls, as we headed away and the sound made my heart skip a beat. "Your staring is going to get us into trouble, Man" he shoved me lightly through the doors of our biology class. I headed straight for my seat, Clint taking the stool beside me. We were a little early to class so everyone else didn't filter in until a couple minutes later. The teacher, Mr Hanson, had just started the class when the door opened.

"Ah, Mr Jonas, Miss Lovato, it's very nice of you to join the lesson" Nick threw his arm around Demi's neck who looked a little uncomfortable to me as she tugged on her shirt. Her eyes locked with mine for less than a second before she was being pulled down the room and to her seat at the back. I couldn't seem to keep my eyes off her as she took her seat next to Nick. He draped his arm around the back of her chair and leant in to brush his lips against her neck. It isn't unusual for them to get cosy in class. Nick doesn't care much for school; he's currently riding on a scholarship to Yale for football. I don't even think he's that good of a player but what do I know. I turned my attention back to the front of class, trying to ignore the heavy feeling in my heart. I would treat her so much better than him. Because she's a woman, it doesn't mean she can be treated like a piece of meat. She still has feelings. She's still human. A woman like that deserves to be treated like a queen.
