Demi | 3 Years Later
"Nova" I called, the smile on my face widening as she ran into the room, twirling on the spot once she came to a stop.
"I look pretty, Mama?"
"You look beautiful, Princess" she giggled as she twirled again. "You ready to walk mommy down the aisle?" she nodded, jumping on the spot. I laughed as I glanced up at Heather who stepped back into the room, her smile widening as she noticed me.
"Sweetheart, you look gorgeous."
"Thanks Mom" she pressed a kiss to my cheek as she wrapped her arms around me. "I can't believe we're finally getting married."
It's been an amazing, but a rough 3 years. The pressure of having a newborn caused Odell and I to fall apart. We were separated for a couple months but eventually found our way back to each other. Neither of us dated anyone else while we were separated because we knew that we would forever be in love with each other. We both knew that we wouldn't be able to find anyone quite like the other. We'd never have a relationship like ours. My dad has travelled to see me twice in the last two years, I've met his wife and their two daughters, who I suppose are my half-sisters. We don't really have much to do with each other anymore. It saddens me, but I have Heather. I already have my own family.

"My hands are shaking" Heather and Marissa laughed as they both stood beside me. "I'm so excited but I'm also so nervous. What if I fall over?" Heather shook her head as she handed me my bouquet of flowers.
"You aren't going to fall, Honey, because I won't let you" I nibbled on my lower lip but Marissa lightly hit my arm.
"Don't ruin your makeup, you know it took me hours" I rolled my eyes at her scolding. "You aren't going to fall, and you have no reason to be nervous. You and Odell are made for each other" a smile formed on my face as I met Marissa's gaze. The main double doors opened a moment later and my stomach instantly began to flutter with butterflies. "Good luck" Marissa gently pecked my cheek and then turned her attention to Lani and Nova. "You two ready to walk down the aisle?" I turned to Heather and with a smile, I linked my arm with hers.
"Let's get you married, Honey."
The flutters in my stomach seemed to intensify as I watched Nova and Lani disappear through the double doors and a loud 'awe' filled the hall. Marissa flashed me a wide smile before she followed behind the two girls. My lips spread into a wide smile and I felt myself growing more excited. I'm finally getting married to the love of my life. Heather gave my arm a squeeze and then after Odell's cousin had walked down the aisle, we stepped into view. The wedding march started and everyone stood. The backs of my eyes began to burn with tears and Heather tugged gently on my arm to lead me forward. Odell suddenly came into view and I watched as his smile spread across his face. I ran my eyes along his frame, unable to stop myself from swooning. He looks so fucking handsome. I kept my grip tight on Heather's arm as we headed down the aisle. Heather slid my hand into Odell's and he gave it a squeeze as our eyes locked. My heart burst at the tears in his eyes.
"You look beautiful" my smile widened.
"And you look handsome" we all then turned to the officiant.
"Dear friends and family, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union of Odell Cornelious Beckham Jr. and Demetria Devonne Lovato in marriage. In the years they have been together, their love and understanding of each other has grown and matured, and now they have decided to live their lives together as husband and wife" the smile on my face was enormous as I glanced back to meet Odell's gaze. I had my own tears threatening to pour down my cheeks. "True marriage begins well before the wedding day, and the efforts of marriage continue well beyond the ceremony's end. A brief moment in time and the stroke of the pen are all that is required to create the legal bond of marriage, but it takes a lifetime of love, commitment, and compromise to make marriage everlasting. Today you declare your commitment to each other before family and friends, your yesterdays were the path to this moment, and your journey to a future of togetherness becomes a little clearer. Now, Odell and Demi have decided to write their own vows" he spoke before he turned to Odell. "Odell, if you would like to go first" a lump suddenly formed in my throat as my eyes locked with Odell's. He sniffled and quickly wiped away his fallen tears.
"Demi, I first realised that I had a crush on you when I was 12. It was the first day of high school and you were this confident and outgoing girl who I never expected to know" I gave his hand a squeeze. "Throughout the years, I just fell a little harder for you. You were this popular girl who I never had a chance with, but then you started to fail in math" I rolled my eyes as he chuckled. "I just seemed to fall harder for you the more I got to know you. You made my life when you finally admitted to sharing my feelings" I nibbled lightly on my lower lip. "You have been my world from the moment that I got to know you. You're the most amazing mommy to our beautiful daughter and I can't wait to have more beautiful children with you. We've had a rough couple of months but we made our way back to each other and I believe it's because we're meant to be. I love you so much, Demi. I will never take your love for granted. I will always remember to treat you like a queen" I sniffled, quickly wiping away my fallen tears.
