Demi

I placed the mug onto the tray and sighed as I watched the coffee trickle from the machine.

"Hi. Demi, isn't it?" I jumped as a hand very delicately ran along my lower back, the touch sent a shiver down my spine and not the good kind of shiver that I get when Odell does the same thing. I turned my head and flashed the man stood beside me a warm smile. "I'm Elliot. I'm one of the animators on the top floor" I turned my attention back down to the coffee as the machine came to a stop. I know who he is. I've found him staring at me quite a lot over the last couple of weeks.

"Nice to meet you" his lips twitched up into a smile.

"I've seen some of your sketches, you're a very talented lady" my eyebrows furrowed as I turned to him. He was leant against the counter, his arms crossed over his chest.

"H-How did you see them?"

"I see everything" I turned back to the mug of coffee, took it off the tray and grabbed a packet of sugar. "Your talent is wasted. You deserve to be on the top floor with me" I noticed him place his own mug onto the tray. His eyes were still locked on me, the look making my heart hammer against my chest. It's not that he isn't attractive, but he's rather creepy and I have a boyfriend. Even if I didn't have a boyfriend, I wouldn't be interested in him.

"I-I should probably get this to Mark" I turned to leave but his hand wrapped around my wrist. I glanced briefly around the room, sighing at the emptiness. We're the only people in here. He could literally do whatever he wanted and nobody would know unless I screamed of course.

"You're talented, Demi. Maybe you should let Mark see that" I glanced to him, feeling insanely uncomfortable as he winked. "I'll see you around. Maybe we could get together some time" I completely ignored him as I pulled my wrist from his grip and headed from the room. I sighed in relief as I headed towards Mark's office. Mark is an older man, he's a lot like what I would imagine an uncle to be. He's always cracking jokes, he doesn't take his job too seriously and I enjoy working with him.

"Thank you, Demi" I flashed Mark a smile and then lowered myself into the chair beside him. "You not want anything?"

"I-I'm not really much of a coffee drinker" he eyed me for a second before he turned back to his computer.

"Hi Cleo" I cooed as I stepped through the front door and the excited puppy began to dance around my feet. I sunk to the floor, laughing as she began to jump up at me. I scratched behind her ear and kissed the top of her head. "Shall we get you some food?" her ears pricked up. "Have you been a good girl while I've been at work?" I pushed myself up from the floor and headed into the kitchen with Cleo following close behind me. I grabbed her food from the cupboard and filled her bowl. "There you are, Baby Girl" I grabbed myself a glass of water, fishing my phone from my pocket as it vibrated.

Odell😍: Hi Baby! How was work?!

I haven't seen Odell in a month and a half. He did plan to come home around the end of September but it ended up not happening. I'm worried that him not coming home will become a regular thing and it will eventually cause strain on our relationship. I miss him like crazy. We do message all the time and we FaceTime quite often but it's not the same.

I took my drink and headed into the living room. I relaxed back against the sofa, lowered my glass onto the coffee table and then dialled Odell's number. The smile on my face widened as he answered the FaceTime request almost immediately.

"Hi Baby."

"Hi. I miss you" he nodded; his lips formed in a small smile.

"How's work?"

"It's going okay. How's college?"

"It's good. I miss you terribly though."

"I doubt it. You're probably living the single life" he rolled his eyes, shook his head and laughed.

"Oh, everyone knows I have a girlfriend" my cheeks lightly blushed. "They all know you exist because I think I talk about you like every damn second. I think they're fed up of hearing about you at this point" I bit down on my lip and giggled. "And I have photos of you all over my wall" he turned his phone and pointed at the wall nearest his bed. There were numerous selfies and photos of us both together. My eyes landed on one and I rolled my eyes as he turned his phone back to face him.

"That photo in the middle, I'm naked in it."

"Okay, nobody can see that you're naked. The only person who knows that your naked in it, is me" I shook my head but smiled. "You look hot anyway, and the photos of you naked are for my eyes only" I nibbled down on my lower lip as my cheeks burnt.

"I really wish you were here."

"I know, Baby. I'll be home soon to see you."

"Will you? Or will you pull a September and not come home?" he sighed, his eyes glancing down for a moment.

"I'm sorry that I did that, Baby."

"Don't stress it. I got over it pretty quickly" I smiled as Cleo jumped up onto the couch and curled into my side. I began to run my fingers through her fur, keeping my eyes down on her until Odell spoke.

"I am sorry."

"Just as long as it doesn't become a regular thing."

"It won't, I promise. I'll be coming home soon."

"You better. I love you."

"I love you, Baby" my heart ached as we hung up on each other. Cleo pushed herself onto my lap and I curled into her, grabbing the tv remote so I could switch on the tv and try and distract myself from thoughts of Odell.
