Odell

I laughed as Demi threw herself at me. I locked my arms around her waist as she nuzzled her face into my neck. The embrace lasted for a minute before we were interrupted by Lani.

"DEMI" she squealed her excitement. Demi pulled away from me with a giggle and glanced down at Lani.

"Hi Princess" I smiled as Demi locked Lani into a hug.

"Hi. You play dollies with me?" I rolled my eyes just as Demi glanced up at me and giggled.

"I'm going to spend some time with Delly, Princess, okay? He gets very jealous" I shook my head as Demi smirked at Lani causing her to loudly giggle. "I'll play dollies later."

"Pinkie promise?" Lani held up her pinkie finger and pouted.

"I promise, Princess" Demi hooked her pinkie with Lani's and leant to press a kiss to her cheek. Lani turned and ran off into the living room. Demi pushed herself to stand and she turned to me with a wide smile. I ran my hands along her waist and she giggled as my hands moved to settle on her ass.

"Odell Beckham Jr, get your hands off that girls ass" Demi laughed loudly as my cheeks blushed. We turned to face my mom as she stepped out of the kitchen with a dishrag. She swatted it at me and then turned to hug Demi. "How are you, Sweetheart?" I smiled at their interaction.

"I'm good, thanks."

"Are you ready for prom?"

"Marissa and I went to choose our dresses at the weekend."

"Are you and Odell colour coordinating?"

"He hasn't actually asked me to prom yet" I rolled my eyes as mom turned back to me and swatted me once again with the dishrag.

"Will you stop hitting me with that?"

"When you going to ask this beautiful girl to be your prom date?" I sighed as mom wrapped her arm around Demi's shoulder. My eyes met Demi's; her face was a playful smirk.

"I-I didn't even know whether I wanted to go."

"You better be kidding me with that, Odell Beckham?" I shook my head at my mom who look unamused. My eyes met Demi's and if I'm being truthful, she looked a little upset.

"I never had a reason too. I've never been to any of the previous school dances. Why does prom matter?"

"Because prom is different, Odell" I kept my eyes locked on Demi until she glanced down at the floor. I suddenly felt a little bad and I very briefly had a dislike for my mother.

"Can we drop this topic now, please?" mom sighed but nodded. She removed her arm from around Demi and then headed back into the kitchen. I gently took Demi's hand in mine and tugged her towards the stairs. Her grip on my hand was weak and the ache in my chest was just growing stronger. You're such an idiot, Odell. I lead her into my bedroom, making sure to close the door behind us so that we wouldn't get interrupted. "Babe?"

"If-If you don't want to go to prom, that's fine" I watched her as she stood facing me, staring down at the floor as she twiddled with her fingers, something she does when she's either nervous or about to start crying. "I just-I wish you had told me before I picked you out a matching tie" her eyes glanced up to meet mine and the tears in her gaze made my heart break. "I thought you would look good in a dark blue tie" her shoulders shrugged as she glanced away from me. How can you not give her what she wants, Odell? Suck it up. It's just a night. "I-I just thought we could have some fun before you leave for college."

"Baby, that's months away."

"But it'll come around fast, and if you choose to go to the college furthest away, then I'll hardly see you" she bit down on her lower lip and my heart ached as her chin lightly quivered.

We've been dating for around a month. We're being treated like nobodies and neither of us care. It's nothing new for me but for the first day was strange for Demi. We get a lot of looks but again, neither of us care. We're happy. I know that I love her but I haven't told her yet. I think it's a little too soon for that.

"Baby, don't start crying. You know I don't like when you cry" I stepped up to her, my fingers delicately caressing her chin. "If it makes you smile, I'll go to prom."

"I don't want to force..."

"I'll go to prom" her lips very lightly twitched at the corners which I leant to press a kiss too. "And please don't worry about me leaving for college. I'll still come home to see you" I cupped her chin in my hand and leant to kiss her again. She ran her fingers into my hair as she pulled me along with her as she stumbled backwards. She squealed into the kiss as she dropped back against my bed, pulling me on top of her. "Demi?" she brought my mouth down to meet hers, her legs now either side of me, her fingers tangled into my curls. A moan unexpectedly slipped from my lips at the feel of her nails against my scalp. I could feel myself growing in my pants and I was starting to find it difficult to control myself. Demi moaned against my lips as I pressed myself into her, one of my hands settling lightly on her hip as the other rest on the bed beside her head. "Demi?" I detached my lips from hers and stared down at her. I didn't want to push her. I didn't want her to think I was expecting anything from her because I'm not. "I..." before I had the chance to speak, a knock sounded on my bedroom door. I rolled off Demi and sat up, trying to act all nonchalant as I called for whoever to come in. Demi had moved herself back to lean against my pillows and had leant to grab the tv remote. "You okay, Mom?" I asked as my mom stepped into the room.

"I'm taking Lani to the park. We're meeting Denise and Rosie. I don't want any funny business going on" I rolled my eyes as she pointed her finger at me and wriggled it.

"Okay. I'll see you later" she sent us a wave and then turned to leave my room. It wasn't until I heard the door close downstairs that I turned to face Demi.
