This chapter is based on the song "Mr. Loverman" by Ricky Montgomery. it's in the story playlist on Spotify, do not fret

It will skip a few lyrics (the whole second verse sorry not sorry) but will keep the general structure of the song. I suggest you listen to the song while you read, or listen to an instrumental version :)

again, lyrics come first, then the story part.

short chapter, but VERY IMPORTANT TO THE PLOT! From Dreams pov :)

it's also very dramatic on dreams end, but I had so much fun writing it so you're gonna have to deal with it :P

this chapter has dream's family in it, so if you don't remember dreams sisters' name is Harper, and I've just decided that dreams brothers' name is Eli. These are both fictional, I'm making up their names, as well as Dream's brothers' personality.

The drive is long, and it's a few long hours before we get to the beach. My parents didn't even bother to get a hotel room, so I'm just going to have to spend the whole entire day on the beach. We don't have any portable chargers that Harper isn't going to hog, so I figured I might as well leave my phone at home.

No phone is no communication.

No communication is no y/n, Sapnap, George, or anyone other than my family.

"Great," I mutter to myself as I pull into a parking spot, still trying my best to get used to the rental car my parents got. We've split in two: My parents and my brother in one car, and Harper and I in another. My other sister isn't on the trip with us, she's probably somewhere traveling as she always is.

"What?" Harper asks, enthusiastically. It's clear she doesn't care about my mood but is just asking to pretend to have some sort of manners.

"Oh, don't act like you care," I say, shutting off the car. She looks up from her phone at me, an expression of heavy sass on her face as she blinks at me slowly. Her face turns into disgusts as she rolls her eyes aggressively, making me clench my jaw.

"Alright, fine. Clay's being annoying today. Noted," she says, then gets out of the car, slamming the door.

"Shit," I curse under my breath, then stand out of the car.

The hot sun hits my face, making me squint to see. I bring an arm up, holding it against the light of the sun. Harper opens the back of the car, grabbing the cooler and catching up with my parents, clearly upset with me. I shut it behind her, also heading to the beach.

I'm headed straight for the floor

Everyone runs onto the beach immediately, sand lifting and swirling behind their feet. My mom lays down a blanket, whereas everyone else starts getting ready to go into the water.

My siblings are the first to go, running towards the waves, the wind tossing their hair. I walk forward, headed towards my parents. The sand is hot under my feet, warm from the sun. My siblings head into the water, shivering with the contact.
