IMPORTANT NOTE: think of your relationship as something similar to kylo and rey's (i think it's called a dyad), but platonic
-so you know how this barbie song is about diamond castle blah blah blah, well out of context, i thought it could serve as a metaphor for what you're trying to achieve in the story (peace for both your men, friends, the galaxy and anakin)
-basically, the galaxy that you see in your mind

The dark kitchen wasn't a warm welcome. (Y/n) sat in the darkness, watching as the sun quietly rose over the horizon. It was the beginning of another dawn, meaning another opportunity to grab what shouldn't have been forgotten. (Y/n) couldn't stand to sit still and enjoy a cup of hot tea, she had to leave and find Anakin before he found her. If their connection was still as strong as it once was, then he would be able to sense her halfway across the city.

She couldn't allow that to happen. Not when it could get her men killed.

Then (Y/n) felt it, a presence. His presence. Anakin was right behind her, as if he had split a portion of the galaxy in two to reach her. (Y/n) slowly turned to face him, and it was then that she realised just how much his Force signature had changed. Instead of warmth and the usual hint of playfulness, it left her feeling heavy and sad. Vader stood in front of her on a rooftop. The rising sun reflected off the side of his face, illuminating the shiny armour in the golden rays. The other half that stood in the shadow of a skyscraper remained untouched.

"Why must you try so hard?"

(Y/n)'s shoulders tensed. Anger bit at the inside of her cheek, like a scorching piece of magma. It was taking all her willpower not to raise her voice. She was so angry, and just staring at his face seemed to intensify it tenfold. "What are you talking about?" she shot back, balling a hand into a fist. "Why can't you try harder?" (Y/n) was desperate. This was her brother from another mother--her twin--soulmate. Seeing him in that suit shrouded by anger, hatred, and fear made something spark within her.

There wasn't much time to bring him back. Not with the way things were going. She had so much to say, so much more to ask and squeeze out of him. What happened to Padme? Was anyone convicted for killing Fives? What else did he do that she didn't know about?

(Y/n) didn't want to accuse Anakin. After all, he was the one who helped her find herself. Anakin was her brother. Her brother who was there when she forgot to eat, when she was too scared to sleep, when she couldn't stop worrying about her boys. He was there. He was always there.

Vader's cloak fluttered in the wind, twirling in sharp arches of elegant ebony. He took a step forward and it rattled the very air. "As I said before, Anakin Skywalker is dead." His deep voice sent shivers down (Y/n)'s spine. "You can't save him. You are decades too late." (Y/n) clenched her fists so tightly that her knuckles turned white. "No. No it's not! It's never too late, Ani. If you weren't here, then I wouldn't be talking to you now. We're still connected, and as long as we're connected, there's hope. You aren't alone. If you would just--"

"I sense a deep grief within you."

(Y/n) went completely rigid. The temperature dropped by ten degrees.
