(Y/n) stared at the blue of hyperspace with a long yawn. She couldn't remember how long she had been sitting in her x-wing scanning book after book after book. There were manuals lying around, and one textbook the previous pilot left, but besides that, nothing she really wanted to read. On any other day, (Y/n) would meditate as she waited to arrive at her destination, but it was hard to clear her mind after seeing old friends. She wanted to say she was glad to see them, but the thought was hard to process when they likely had a high price on their heads.
That thought brought her back to the Empire and the Emperor. She swore she'd go after the Emperor, but she wasn't sure how she'd do it. Marching into his base--wherever that was--wasn't tactically intelligent, and it wasn't like she could defeat him, at least not on her own. She saw what he had done during the Clone Wars. He manipulated the whole Jedi Order, tricked them all and clouded their senses. What if that happened to (Y/n)?
She slammed her book down on the dash with a sigh, slouching in her seat like she were melting. There was a low beep from the button she'd hit with her book and she frantically hit the holoprojector's button. "Apologies I accidently--"
"You have to get out of here Commander!"
(Y/n) knitted her brows together in confusion, eyeing the hologram like it were a prized holocron. A clone ran through the snowy wastelands of Hoth, gripping onto his holoprojector as three other men appeared by his side. That voice, no, that helmet, she knew it. "The whole base already evacuated," said the clone. "So I suggest you get out of here while you can. I am sending you the coordinates where the fleet will meet--"
"Hah, that rhymed."
"--shut up Sparky! Commander, you will be caught by the Empire if you come here."
(Y/n) knitted her brows together again, lips opening and closing like a fish. "Boys..."
"We'll explain later, just don't die!"
The hologram dispersed and (Y/n) gripped the steering a little harder than before. The blue of hyperspace began fading, opening up to the familiar abyss of space. She suddenly found herself staring at a whole fleet of Imperial star destroyers, and by the looks of it, they spotted her. A group of TIE-fighters rounded around the destroyers, swiftly closing the distance between her x-wing and space. (Y/n) swerved left, avoided the blaster fire as she looped over the TIEs.

The chill of the Hoth settled into Nimbus's bones as he walked off the ship. He tapped the device on his forearm, raising the temperature regulator to the highest setting with a sigh. As much as he didn't want to admit it, his armour was getting old, and it needed a fair amount of fine tuning. He tapped the screen impatiently, fiddling with the old thing until the screen flickered. "I swear, this thing keeps getting slower every day." A harsh hand suddenly collided with his back and he let out a violent cough. "Would you--" He coughed. "Would you quit that Grav?!" His voice echoed in the empty hanger, bouncing off the icicles haphazardly hanging above the x-wings. Grav rolled his eyes, giving Nimbus another shove for good measure.
