20 BBY, Umbara

Some things in life were not meant to be seen or told. Sometimes, they were embarrassing, other times, a dangerous tale that left everything in ruins. (Y/n) couldn't move. No, she didn't want to move. The ice running through her veins, filling her blood with adrenaline, made her knees feel like jelly, and her hands all clammy.

Halo's shoulders shook as he tried to grasp what he had just said. A part of him wanted to believe it was a hallucination, or better yet, a spice dream (Halo would never). But it wasn't. None of it was and both Halo and (Y/n) knew.

Only thirty minutes before, he had been wandering around the base in search of George and Sapnap. Halo finished prepping for the next battle (there was still a good ten hours until they were ordered to leave), and that left him with a mighty amount of downtime. A mighty amount to play his favourite game on multiplayer: Minecraft.

But George and Sapnap were nowhere to be seen. The NDS were a next choice then. Turns out, they were also nowhere in sight. Halo didn't think much of it and spent some time hacking the security systems for fun. It wasn't his fault he stumbled upon suspicious activity on the CCTV. It so happened to be disabled, and in that moment, Halo thought it was best he turn it back on. That was when he found Krell, standing in the main control room with a private holoprojector on. The room was empty save for himself.

"Your attempt at assassination has failed me."

The voice was clipped and short, with a snooty tone to it. Halo would never forget it, not after it had threatened him so many times in the past.

"I am growing impatient with you, Krell."

Dooku. That was his name. So Krell worked with Dooku? Halo wished he could say he was surprised.

"Kill her, efficiently and without witness."

What?

"Do not underestimate her as an opponent, or you shall see that you will be the one bowing on your knees. I assume you've taken hostage of her clones?"

"Yes."

"Then see to it that she is killed."

"They want to kill you." he whispered out. (Y/n) placed a hand to her chin with a shake of her head. She heaved in a deep breath, low and steady. This was no time to panic. "If that's the case, then we need to inform the rest of the squad. Let's assume Krell has taken hostage of George, Henry, Sapnap, and the whole NDS, that would mean they're bait. If we find them, then that means we'd be walking straight into a trap."

"So how do we work around that?" Halo inquired. He had no doubt (Y/n) would come to their rescue since it was her of all people. Even then, a trap could put her at risk, and therefore give Krell what he wanted. Was this really a good idea? Was it? (Y/n) took priority because she was a Jedi. An elite. Clones could be replaced, but not her. If someone like Krell assumed command over the 88th, then there would be no hope for any of his brothers. Everyone needed (Y/n).
