I woke up this morning to something I was not used to. Silence. I knew I had a little bit of a lie in because I'd told Rosa I would be out late the night before. But when I woke up and couldn't hear the kids running around or Nova's babbles from the monitor I shot up from my bed and looked around.
"Rosaaaa!" I shouted coming out my room and immediately flew down the stairs. At first she didn't respond making me twist my face up. She had strict instructions to not take my kids out of the house without my permission and she had never gone against my word before.
"Miha, why are you shouting?" She said coming from behind me and I held my chest and let out a sigh of relief seeing her coming from the direction of her room.
"Rosa you scared me. Where are the kids?" I asked walking towards her and she furrowed her brows.
"Mr Chris came to collect them an hour ago. He said you would be okay with it?" She responded and I immediately got angry.
"What?! Did he say where he was taking them?" I spoke getting irate and I could tell Rosa wasn't expecting it.
"Uh, no he just told me he was taking them out." She half stuttered and sighed when I rolled my eyes.
"Did I do something wr-"
"Yes! I employ you Rosa, not him!" I shouted cutting her off as I ran back up the stairs to grab my phone, leaving her there.
"Yo." Chris answered shortly and I tried my hardest to remain calm and not let my annoyance get the better of me.
"Where are my kids Chris?" I said sternly and I heard him sigh.
"OUR kids are with me. I saw you on the gram last night getting turnt up. I thought you might need the morning off." He said smartly and I rolled my eyes.
"I barely drank last night, you know I never wake up without them why wouldn't you tell me before coming to get them?!" I shouted back and got even more annoyed with myself because I knew he was doing this all to get a rise out of me, and it was working.
"What is your problem Kam? I'm their dad I ain't gone hurt em." He let out and I could hear the kids in his background, who sounded like they were having a whale of a time.
"Whatever Chris you aren't their main caregiver, you don't know their schedules or how they behave in every situation. You should have consulted me first." I said tightly and he chuckled.
"You wildin Kam. They kids, its not rocket science." He said and I heard him shuffle before hearing Nova's babbles.
"Bring back my babies Chris i'm not playing." I spoke again.
