"You alright?" I asked rubbing Kam's back, she was sick so i'd come home early from my work trip to Atlanta to help with the kids.
"Baby you didn't have to come all the way home to take care of me, I told you I'd be fine." She whined behind her mask.
"And I told you, you're my priority. Take this damn mask off, you need oxygen!" I said attempting to pull it off and she smacked my hand away.
"No! You can't get sick I need them live cheque's, I be damned if you miss any performances because of me." She joked and I laughed resting my head on her butt.
"You remember when we were 14 and I got bird flu and every one treated me like a leper?" I said laughing before I could finish and she laughed too.
"Mhmmm you were such a child about it too." She responded and I laughed looking up into her eyes.
"You were there for me though, slept on the floor so you could help me get better." I said more to myself than anything and moved to let her turn over.
"I always wanted to make sure you were good.... plus I wanted to get sick and be off school too." she finished making me bust up and I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah whatever... You always had my back Kam. I'm glad I finally get to have yours." I told her still staring into her clearly exhausted eyes and I saw the mask move and her eyes chink as she smiled.
"Men are so backwards. How about you figure out a way to give birth to our next child. THAT'S how you have my back." She joked and I smacked her thigh in hysterics.
"So what you gone get me pregnant?" I said in-between laughs and she tried to calm hers too.
"Boy is water wet? i'll slut you out." She added only making us laugh more.

We were out tonight, publicly for the first time in what felt like - ever. I was apprehensive to go out on Chris' arm. It was different when we were abroad because things were a lot more controlled, but in the big world of Hollywood, I was out of my comfort zone.
