———————————————————— This one came to me as I was in the shower singing and thought it was like in the movies. ————————————————————
Third person POV:
Y/n home alone in her shared apartment with her best friend Esther Frantzich (Jonah's younger sister) was in the shower singing to ABBA's "lay all your love on me" , disconnected from the world.
Meanwhile Esther's older brother, Jonah, arrives at the apartment and opens the door with a key his sister gave him. He walks in and doesn't see anyone then, he gets a message from his sister, explaining she will arrive back in half an hour. Jonah goes through the living room and down the small hall to y/n's room to see if she is there. He knocks on her bedroom door, no answer. He tries again and still no answer, so he walks in, to see no one but an open laptop on her bed. He instinctively walks up to her bed and reads what was on the screen. Luckily for y/n it was just an essay for her psychology class. "Woah" Jonah whispers aloud as he is mesmerised by y/n's work. He closes the laptop and then hears someone singing. He walks back out of y/n's bedroom and notices the bathroom light is on across the hall. Realising y/n must be home, he closes her bedroom door and walks back to the living room. On his way back he hears someone singing. "Don't go sharing your devotion, lay all your love on me" Jonah quickly stops and turns his head to listen. Once again Jonah is mesmerised, by y/n's voice this time. He is in such a daze he doesn't realise the shower has been turned off as y/n is still signing... "still I don't know what you've done to me, a grown up women should never fall so easily." Jonah carefully listens only a few feet away from the bathroom. Y/n walks out in a towel, drying her hair with a smaller towel, "Omg Jonah! You scared me." "Sorry" he snaps out of his daze after looking her up and down. "What are you doing here?" Y/n asks. "Uh I came to see Esther" "but Esthers not here" y/n states. "I can see that" Jonah chuckles slightly. Y/n playfully roles her eyes. "She said she'll be back soon" Jonah explains. "Okay, well if you'll excuse me I need to change" y/n says before heading into her bedroom.
Jonah sits on the sofa in the living room humming the same song y/n was just singing. Y/n enters the room, "I love that song!" she states excitedly, walking over to Jonah. Jonah looks up from his phone at her, "I know, you were singing it in the shower." "Oh you heard that?" Y/n asks whilst stood over him. "Don't be embarrassed, you have a beautiful voice" Jonah says, standing up in front of y/n. Y/n blushes. "Oh and I may or may not have read your essay on what I believe is psychology" Jonah says innocently. "What? When?" "I went to see if you were in your room but you weren't and you left your laptop on and I couldn't help myself." "Well since you read it, what do you think?" Y/n asks, looking up, directly into his eyes. "I don't have a clue about psychology but you clearly do, it was very interesting and well put together" Jonah replies. "Thanks!" Y/n says. "So, you like ABBA?" Jonah asks still stood directly opposite y/n. "Yes, I love ABBA's music and I've loved the mamma Mia films since I was a little girl" Y/n explains. Jonah looks at her fascinated. "The song you were singing... it seems like a pretty intense song. Did you have anyone in mind?" Jonah asks with a smirk. "Uh no, why?" Y/n looks away from his eyes for the first time during this conversation. "Oh I was hoping it was about me" Jonah says as he gently moves a strand of her damp hair behind her ear. "You were?" Y/n questions. "Mhm" he hums in response. "Well, if I'm being honest there might have been someone on my mind" y/n says shyly. "Oh" Jonah says in a sad tone, looking at the ground. "It was you, dummy" y/n playfully slaps his arm. Jonah's head shoots up in excitement. They both had given hints that they liked each other but there was still a confusing silence. Their faces were just inches apart. "Can I kiss you?" Jonah whispers. Y/n quickly replies with a yes and kisses him passionately.
They pull away and smile in a shocked manor. Suddenly, reality kicks in and at the same time they both point at one another and say "you can tell Esther."
