Your POV:

I wake up due to the sun shining through the curtains of my bedroom window. I turn over and flop my arm over the bed only to notice my fiancé Zach wasn't lying next to me. I look at the digital clock on the bed side table and it says 9:00am, wow this is lay in for me these days. I sit up to open my eyes more then Zach walks into our bedroom with our 3 month old daughter, Serenity in his arms. "Good morning beautiful" he says walking over to me. "Good morning you two, how long have you been up?" I ask. "About 2 hours. Happy 1st Mother's Day!" Zach says whilst handing our daughter to me. "Thank you" I say and smile down to Serenity. "I'm making pancakes" Zach says with a smile. "Aww really?" "Do you want me to bring them up to you or will you come down?" Zach asks. "I'll come down."

Zach puts Serenity down for a nap whilst the two of us enjoy breakfast at the kitchen table. "This is delicious" I say mumbling because my mouth is full. Zach chuckles "I'm becoming a good chef." "You are!"
"What time are we going to your moms?" I ask. "12" Zach answers whilst tucking into his pancakes.

We finished our breakfast and decided to sit on the sofa and watch some tv whilst Serenity was still asleep. But it doesn't take long for her to wake up.

Third person POV:

Y/n and Zach are cuddled up on the sofa watching tv when they are interrupted by the cries of their daughter. Zach goes to get up but y/n stops him with her hand on his chest. "I'll go this time" she says whilst getting up. "But, it's Mother's Day you shouldn't have to do anything" he says. "It's fine Z. I'll look after Ren (short for Serenity) whilst you get ready to go to your parent's house and then we'll swap, okay." Zach nods in agreement and leaves the room to get ready.

Time skip*

The three arrive at the Herron household. Zach holding Serenity in her car seat and y/n carrying a bag full of baby essentials on her shoulder. The three walk in and are immediately spotted by Zach's little sister Reese. She hugs y/n tightly, "hey sweetie" y/n says as she hugs Reese back. "Hey!" the little girl says excitedly. "Reese let them come through" Myta says whilst walking towards them. "Hey mom" Zach says. Everyone walks into the living room to exchange hugs. "Can I hold little Serenity?" Myta asks. "Of course" y/n says as she gets Serenity from her car seat and passes her to Zach's mom.

Josh goes back to the kitchen to finish preparing the food. "Do you need any help Josh?" y/n asks whilst walking into the kitchen. "I'm good thank you, you mother's just relax today. Can I get you a drink?" He asks. "I'll have some water please" y/n says, leaning over the counter. Josh hands y/n a glass of water and y/n takes it. Y/n was about to leave but was stopped as Josh spoke again, "actually please could you gather everyone around the table, dinner is almost ready." "Of course" y/n replies before heading back into the living room to gather everyone around the table.

Your POV:

Everyone is sat around the table, I'm in between Zach and Reese. Serenity is asleep in  the portable cot we brought with us. "This is delicious Josh" I say and everyone hums in agreement. "Thank you!" He says.

"Sorry we couldn't come to your last football game Ry" Zach says. "It was my fault, I felt poorly, I'm sorry" I say sympathetically. "Don't worry about it, I understand!" Ryan says. "Yeah, you haven't long had a baby superwoman" Myta says and I chuckle in response. "When's your next game?" Zach asks Ryan. "Next Thursday." "We'll be there" I say with a smile. "Cool, thanks" Ryan replies. "What sport are you doing now, Reese?" Zach asks. "Football" she simply replies. "That's new. I can't keep up, you do something else like every week" Zach says and laughs. "I really like this though" Reese says. "Well I'm glad you're having fun. Do you have games?" Zach asks. "Yeah mines next Tuesday." "Then, we'll be there" Zach says and Reese excitedly says "yay!"

"I guess we'll be spending most of the week on a football field" I say and chuckle a little. "Yes, my life revolves around football now" Myta says and chuckles.

We've all finished our food and Serenity begins to cry so I go to get her. I sit back down at the table with her in my arms as I feed her a bottle. "She's so cute" Reese says whilst stroking the baby's head. "How many times does she wake in the night?" Myta asks. "Usually 3 or 4" Zach says. "That's average" Myta says. "Yeah" Zach and I say.

After spending the afternoon with the Herron's, playing games, laughing, eating and just having a lovely time, we decide it's time to go home because Serenity and I are getting tired.

Time skip*

We arrive home and Zach puts Serenity to bed and comes back to the living room where I am to cuddle and watch tv. However, there isn't much on the tv so we just chat. "Today was lovely" I say whilst looking up to his face from laying on his chest. "It was" he says with a smile. "You're an amazing mother" he says. "You're an amazing dad" I say back as we are both stare into each other's eyes, our faces really close. "Me and Ren are really lucky to have you" he says before leaning in for a kiss. We softly kiss. "I love you" I say before putting my head back on his chest to face the tv. "I love you more" he says and kisses my head then softly strokes my hair as I begin to fall asleep in his arms.
