Third person POV:

It's bright and early on a summer's Friday morning. 6 best friends are about to head on a journey to a log cabin in the woods for the weekend. Whilst everyone is packing their belongings into the back of Jack's car, Zach runs out of the house shouting "I call shotgun." Y/n who is stood beside the front passenger's door says "no you don't" and opens the car door to get in. Jack who is already sat behind the wheel turns to her and laughs before leaning close to y/n and softly saying "I'd rather you sit by me anyway but don't tell Zach." "It'll be out little secret" y/n says before giggling like a child. As the 6 best friends begin their journey Corbyn speaks from behind "y/n put some music on." Y/n replies with an "okay" before linking her phone to the car. She scrolls through her phone looking for a song to pick before playing "slow down." She giggles as she presses play. "I didn't mean our music" Corbyn chuckles. Y/n turns to face the boy in the middle "Did you not want me to play good music?" She asks innocently. "She has a point" Jonah speaks from beside Corbyn. Y/n smiles and nods before turning back in her seat. "Can you turn it up please" Daniel shouts from the back, almost unnoticeable with all the bags surrounding him. Everyone laughs, "sure" y/n says before turning it up. Then, Jack shouts "Daniel, hold onto the bags." Everyone looks at him confused. "What, why?" Jack doesn't reply instead he smiles and presses a button above his head. The roof slowly goes off into the back. Everyone cheers and puts their arms in the air. The 6 best friends begin to sing along to "slow down" as their hair gushes in the wind. Y/n is dancing and singing along to the music and her hair is blowing away from her face in the wind. She has the biggest smile on her face. Jack turns to her in awe. Y/n notices he is staring at her and she turns to him. She smiles to cover her confusion. Jack smiles back before turning his head back to look at the road.

Time skip*

"We're here" Jack says as he turns into the driveway of the log cabin. Everyone cheers before unbuckling their seatbelts. Everyone grabs their bags from the back of the car and heads into the log cabin. "Woah" Zach says whilst looking around. Y/n points around the room, "there's a fire place!" She says excitedly before continuing, "It's so pretty here" she says in awe. "Sick, there's a jacuzzi" Daniel says as he opens the glass doors to the back yard. Everyone walks back inside as Jonah speaks from the kitchen area, "they put wine in the fridge for us." "Oh cool" Corbyn says. "We better get the food and drink from the car" y/n says whilst heading back outside and everyone follows to help.

Time skip* (again, sorry)

(It's an open plan with one floor)

The 6 best friends have settled into their home for the next 2 days. The boys were sat on the sofa in the living area with their heads in their phones. Y/n however was still wandering around the place when she discovered a random small room at the end of the hall. She opened it to find some cleaning supplies like a hoover but also a box. She dragged it out and realised there was a karaoke inside. She picks up the box and walks down the hall, back into the living area, excitedly. "Hey guys, look what I found!" They all look up from their phones slightly confused. "What is it?" Jack asks as he puts his phone down. "It's a karaoke" y/n says enthusiastically as she puts the box down in front of the tv. "Cool, let's do some karaoke" Daniel says getting up off the sofa. "Yes! Does anyone want a drink?" Y/n asks. "Yeah!" Corbyn says and they all head into the kitchen to get some drinks.

Everyone hovers around the room with their drinks as Corbyn sets up the karaoke. Jack walks in and stands next to y/n. "I think because you found it you should sing something first y/n" he says and nudges her arm slightly. She shyly turns to him, "okay if you insist." Y/n kneels down next to Corbyn and whispers what song she wants to sing into his ear. He puts the song on and hands y/n the mic "all yours." Y/n takes the mic and faces her best friends who are patiently waiting for her to begin.

*Only Angel by Harry Styles begins to play*

She begins to softly sing and everyone smiles, unaware of what was about to happen next. Then, the beat changes and y/n busts a move and becomes confident when singing.

"Open up your eyes, shut your mouth and see that I'm still the only one who's been in love with me. I'm just happy getting you stuck in between my teeth and there's nothing I can do about it" y/n says whilst all the boys stare and their jaws are to the floor.

Y/n finishes the song and bows jokingly whilst everyone claps. Jack however is in a daze and can't believe his sight. "Jack?" Y/n asks confused. He shakes his head "yeah?" "Oh nothing, you just weren't with us for a second there" she chuckles. "T-that was great" he says and y/n smiles, "aw thank you."

"How are we supposed to top that?" Jonah asks and everyone laughs. "We can't" Jack says. "Let's go in the jacuzzi instead" Zach suggests. Everyone agrees and they go to put their bathing suits on.

It's dark out now and the boys are in the jacuzzi whilst y/n is grabbing champagne from the kitchen. She walks outside "champagne anyone?" She asks as she parades the glasses slightly and everyone puts their hands up. She hands out the glasses before getting into the jacuzzi herself. "Cheers" Jonah says whilst putting his glass in the middle. "Cheers" everyone says whilst clinking their glasses before taking a sip. There's a little silence before y/n begins to speak "I know I've said this before but I am really proud of you guys, the album is amazing and I can't wait to see you on your next tour, it's going to be awesome" she says whilst looking at the boys with a smile. "Thank you y/n" they say cohesively. "That means a lot to us" Daniel says. "Especially coming from you" Jonah continues. Y/n smiles in awe. "How's uni been going?" Zach asks. "It's going good actually, stressful but that's expected and I'm coping fine." "Aw good" Corbyn says. They continue to talk about everything and nothing.

A little while later the boys have changed into comfy clothes and are sat around a small bonfire just talking. Y/n walks out in her comfy clothes to find there are no other chairs. "Is there no more chairs?" Y/n asks and all the boys just look at her. "You can share with me if you like" Jack says. "Oh I don't think I'll fit" y/n softly replies. "Well you could sit on my lap if you don't mind doing that" Jack suggests. "Oh, um, I don't mind if you don't mind" y/n says moving closer to him. "No I don't mind" Jack says as he adjusts in his seat. "Okay" y/n gently sits on his lap side ways and wraps her arms around is neck. The others are still staring at the two of them. "We've known each other for years, why do you two still act awkward around each other occasionally?" Daniel asks. Jack gives him an intense look and Daniel gasps at the realisation. "You like
y/n!" Daniel says with a smile. "Well of course I like y/n" Jack tries to play it cool. "No, you like like y/n" Daniel continues. "Jack is that true?" Y/n asks turning to face him. He stares into her eyes not saying a word for a minute. "Yeah" he says quietly now looking down. Zach loudly yawns "well I'm off to bed, I don't know about the rest of you" he says hinting at the boys to leave the two alone. They too fake yawn and agree to go to bed. "Smart move guys" y/n says and chuckles as they are leaving.

"Is it true that you 'like like' me?" y/n asks quoting Daniel's words. "Yes I do 'like like' you" Jack chuckles following the same words. Y/n smiles, "well I 'like like' you too." "Really?" Jack asks. "No I'm just messing with you" y/n says whilst trying to keep a serious face. Y/n playfully slaps his chest, "of course I'm serious" she laughs. Jack laughs in relief. "Well that's a relief" Jack says before they both laugh again. Then it gets quiet as they both stare into each other's eyes. Jack decides to shoot his shot and lean in for a kiss. Y/n likes the idea and begins to lean in too. They share a sweet kiss before backing away and smiling. Y/n leans on Jack's chest and cuddles into him. Jack smiles before putting his arm around her and softly stroking her hair. All that can be heard now is the crickets.
