The galaxy wasn't the most trustworthy or delightful for the past few weeks, to say the least. Ruby had was going to tell her master about her semblance, but he faked his death and did things questionable things that made him seem far less trustworthy. The Clone Wars was obviously more on the side of the Separatists, and she noticed something wasn't quite right, as if the enemy was losing on purpose. However, the arrogance of the Jedi refused to listen to her concerns. Obi-Wan came back from a mission saying that some long-lost Sith Lord he killed before came back to life.

Ruby went with Ahsoka to help some younglings get their kyber crystals, and she didn't think that was a good idea because she never went to Ilum to get the heart of her blade. Everything went fine, except for the kid that may have gotta concussion from breaking an ice-wall with his head, and they were on their way home when they were attacked by pirates. Just when it looked bad, it only got worse. They were attacked by the Separatists, and when they managed to get on the Slave I of course Grevious had to come. Now Ruby and Ahsoka fought against the cyborg near the edge of a cliff. They fought valiantly, but the general was just too much for them, and he stabbed Ruby.

Ahsoka saw her friend get stabbed and she saw the blade extruding from the middle of Ruby's cape. Grevious knocked the injured girl to the ground near the edge and Ahsoka tied to run to her, but Ruby used the force to push the togruta onto Slave I. The cyborg tried to go after the younglings, but Ruby wasn't done yet. She used a fire dust crystal to cause an explosion big enough to send Grevious flying, but she also set on fire and fell off the cliff. She fell to the very bottom, and her force signature disappeared. Ahsoka looked down at where Ruby landed to see the fire die out leaving only ash. It took all of her might not to try and go back and kill the cyborg.

(ON A REPUBLIC CRUISER)

All saddened by their loss the padawan and younglings went off the ship, and onto the hanger floor. They saw General Kenobi and Cody who were waiting for them, but they didn't want to talk. All the younglings walked right past them, their head facing downward because they blamed themselves for what happened to the death of the Kenobi's padawan.

Obi-Wan was visibly confused. 'They were safe now, why are they in a depressing mood?' he thought. He looked on to see Ahsoka also making a similar pose to the younglings, and he didn't know what to expect.

"She is gone," Ahsoka said to the two men, "She died a hero." She was on the verge of tears, and she tried her hardest not to cry.

Cody looked shocked. 'This couldn't be true... WHAT KIND OF SICK JOKE IS THIS!' he thought. He looked on at Obi-Wan's face to see that the Jedi Master was also sad but tried not to show it. He marched out of the room not knowing what to tell his men.

He walked to his quarters and looked at a datapad there. He borrowed Ruby's one because his one got fried, and it was the only one high enough for the information he needed. She said it was fine because she didn't need to go to the planet of Ilum, but who would have thought that was the last time he would see his commander, no not commander... his friend. He noticed a video file on the datapad he was holding. according to Ruby, these files were of something that happened on her homeworld. He played the video and heard Ruby's voice.

"Okay, we are meant to document what we see," Ruby said with her cheery voice.

"I know, but why do you think the headmaster paired out teams together?" a mysterious woman said, the recorder wasn't facing the lady, but her voice sounded familiar. "As much as I like hanging out with you and your team, these are meant to be team missions," she said.

"Well, I guess because this mission was made for third years," Ruby responded, "There weren't any other teams available, so I guess he thought it was a good idea." Ruby was recording everything around her, but then the other woman yelled her name. In a panic, Ruby dropped her recorder and ran to her friend.

On film was a battle between two girls and a hord of monsters that were black and had white plating on them. To Cody's shock he watched as the girls beat up the creatures with ease, but the other lady's armor looked familiar. They were dealing with the last of the monsters when Ruby looked at the other woman.

"Pyrrah, could you grab my scroll please," Ruby said as she cut down another creature. "It counts as quite a bit of our grade," she said this with a laugh.

Pyrrah picked up the recorder or what Ruby called a "scroll" and Cody knew why her clothes and voice were so familiar. He saw her face and realized that she was one of the Maidens from Mortis, she was Fall. 'No wonder she made a sad face when she saw Ruby! They were friends,' he thought. He grabbed the datapad and went to his general.

"Cody it is good to see you," Obi-Wan said, "Is there something urgent?"

"I think you better watch this general," Cody said while handing over the datapad.

"I don't understand why you want to show me this," Obi-Wan said after only watching a little bit, "It doesn't seem important."

"Ruby is with someone in the video," Cody said, "That is what you would want to see."

Obi-Wan continued watching the video and watched as the girls killed the monster hoard. Then he saw it, the girl called Pyrrah's face was in the recording and it was no doubt Fall. "This is indeed shocking," he said looking at the video recording more carefully.

"Well the more shocking thing is that the girl is Pyrrah," Cody said.

"How is that shocking? It is just a name," the general said.

"Ruby said that her friend named Pyrrah was killed in a terrorist attack," Cody replied.

"So you are saying we met a ghost on Mortis," Obi-Wan said, "Ruby might have just heard that her friend was dead."

"When we came back from Mortis I asked her about it and she said she was her friend die," Cody said, "Apparently she was shot and disintegrated. Do you still think Ruby's friend didn't die?"

"I will inform the council," Obi-Wan said.

13 is an unlucky number, but is it really as bad as it seems? Is it just the will of the force? After all, luck isn't real or is it?
